Jay Garrick Returns In THE FLASH Season 3, Episode 9 Description; "The Present"
Christmas comes to Central City in this synopsis for The Flash, but if Barry Allen hopes to stop Savitar, he'll need help from an old friend. This also reveals a big Wally West SPOILER!..
When we last saw Wally West, he had been trapped in some sort of cocoon. Most of us assumed that would lead to him being able to tap into the Speed Force in order to become Kid-Flash, and this synopsis for the December 6th episode of The Flash confirms that he'll soon be a speedster. Unfortunately, Barry isn't best pleased about who he decides to test out his newfound abilities with.
Regardless, perhaps the most exciting thing about this instalment of The CW series is the fact that Jay Garrick will return. He's only made the one appearance since warning the Scarlet Speedster off creating another Flashpoint, and based on what's happening with Cisco, it sounds like the fallout from that will continue to be felt here. As always, let us know your thoughts on these details in the usual place.
BARRY SEEKS HELP FROM JAY GARRICK — With Alchemy and Savitar still looming threats, Barry (Grant Gustin) is unable to focus on the Christmas holiday, and especially his relationship with Iris (Candice Patton). Determined to stop Savitar, Barry goes to Earth-3 to get advice from Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp). Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to help Barry fight Savitar and reveals that he’s been training with H.R. (Tom Cavanagh), which doesn’t go over well with Barry. As Cisco (Carlos Valdes) faces his first Christmas without his brother Dante (guest star Nicholas Gonzalez), old wounds are reopened. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing and teleplay by Lauren Certo.
