Savitar's Origin Revealed And Huge Returns Teased In Epic New Trailer For THE FLASH

The CW has released an epic new trailer for The Flash revealing Savitar's origin story and the return of Captain Cold along with a number of other big twists and turns. Hit the jump to check it out!

There are only three episodes of The Flash left and this new trailer points to these final instalments being downright epic. As you can see, The Fastest Man Alive is going to enlist Captain Cold in his quest to stop Savitar and it appears as if they'll be turning to King Shark for some much-needed assistance.

However, by far the biggest reveal here is the origin story of Savitar. It turns out that future Barry has to kill Iris so that his past self ultimately becomes him, though it's not clear what impact the Scarlet Speedster's trip to 2024 to inspire his future self will have had on all that. Either way, this is an interesting direction to take things in and this trailer points to us getting a downright epic finale.

Been disappointed with this season so far; this looks interesting so I'm hoping the remaining episodes can be great.

My my that trailer!

I love how it begins right from the get go with the audio from the future.

And I knew it! Savitar/Future Flash is going to wreck up STAR Labs from the preview of last week.

Also, if you pause it exactly and accurately at 0:24 after Captain Cold's part is over you can spot E2 Wells/Harry aiming along with Joe as Future Flash. Why? He is holding the same meta shotgun and the hairstyle and glasses, so Harry's back.

So they're breaking into ARGUS with Lyla's help to execute whatever Snart's plan is.

Dat King Shark cameo. Or maybe he actually gets out?

H.R. losing his mojo and Wally injured and apologizing to Barry, it must be connected.
And I think I get what is going on in STAR Labs, Future Flash arrived to take Iris hostage and set up the events so this is what Wally feels bad for.

Joe is also seen aiming at him from the place where H.R. was supposed to be. And that brief shot of Tracy with a horrified expression on her face...hmm.

Barry looking at the Reverse-Flash suit in the time vault...well I will just say that I'm glad the suit remains there 3 years later. That is cool.

Dat shot of Future Flash running and entering the Savitar suit, boss.

Hyped!

Really wanted to see a Reverse Flash and Flash team up in order to defeat Savitar. Kinda like how Arrow is doing a slade and oliver team up. Would've been epic.

Um, it was pretty obvious that Future Barry needs to kill Iris to exist. Her loss is what creates that version of Barry. And with barry already going to the future and getting Flash to become a hero again he may have already messed with that.

@Dedpool - Barry going to the Future alredy make him win, because yes you have Savitar/Future Barry killing Iris, but like Present Barry learn a lot from that Future, he change a lot of thing in his present...

For example, Barry deducted Savitar identity in the present, while in that Future he never did, Barry learn about Tracy Brand 4-6 years before that Future Barry did and Barry clearly learn that even if Iris dies he wont let his Team tear apart from the pain of that death.

Clearly like Present Barry deducted Savitar identity and got Tracy Brand, Killer Frost wont be Savitar ally for too much longer because now the present change.

So clearly Barry made everything happen more quickly and in a different way, so the Future we saw doesnt exist anymore, but did help Barry understood how to stop Savitar and prevent it from happening.
