We had heard rumors that season 3 of The CW's The Flash would introduce Magenta, and now it's been revealed that Joey King (TDKR, Fargo) will debut as the DC Comics villain in the third episode...
We'd been told to expect a flood of new rogues for Barry Allen and friends to contend with (Mirror Master and The Top have already been cast) on season 3 of The Flash, and Comicbook.com has revealed that the latest baddie to join the fray will be Joey King's Magenta.
Fans of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy will recall King's brief turn as the younger Talia al Ghul, but she's since gone on to appear in the likes of FX's Fargo and Independence Day: Resurgence. This take on the character is described as "a meta-human with the ability to control metal... but her powers come with a dangerous side-effect, causing her villainous alter ego known as Magenta to emerge."
Expect to see King debut as Frances "Frankie” Kane/Magenta in episode 3. The Flash returns for its third season on Tuesday, October 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
