TV Line is reporting that Jon Cor (Shadowhunters; Lost in Space) has joined the cast of The Flash season seven in a recurring guest star role as Mark Stevens, a.k.a. Chillblaine.

His official character description reads, “Scientist Mark Stevens is a charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he’s not breaking into corporate safes, he’s busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style. Armed with his own cold weapons, he’ll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash as the DC Comics villain Chillblaine.

In the comics, Chillblaine also frequently works with Lisa Snart, a.k.a. the Golden Glider, but the report notes that The Flash doesn't currently have any plans to bring back season one/two guest star Peyton List (Gotham; The Tomorrow People), although that's always subject to change.

While the first few episodes will wrap up last season's central story, with the Scarlet Speedster (Grant Gustin) ultimately triumphing over the Mirror Master (Efrat Dor), the majority of the season after that will focus on a dangerous new threat that Barry has inadvertently released.

Barry Allen lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department. Barry's life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry, bestowing him with superspeed and making him the fastest man alive - The Flash. After a thrilling cliffhanger last season which saw the new Mirror Master victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris West-Allen. With help from the rest of Team Flash, which includes superheroes Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Ralph Dibny, and Nash Wells, as well as the Flash's adoptive father Joe West, Meta-Attorney Cecile Horton, tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk... Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master. But in doing so, he'll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team - and his marriage - apart.

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Efrat Dor as Eva McCulloch
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
Kayla Compton as Allegra Garcia
Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk

The Flash returns with a brand new episode on February 23

Sounds like them finding a way of admitting they killed off captain cold way too early.

This show is still on? I don't even making a choice to stop watching it... I just stopped seeing new episodes after that last crossover with the monitor.

Flash (the TV Show) problems is always because Barry did something wrong...I stoped to watch after Crisis finished and then the Arrowverse started to die. This utterly formulaic Flash seasons are boring af. With Green Arrow & Canaries not being picked up as series, Supergirl and Black Lightning being cancelled I think Flash and Legends will soon bite the dust and the new DC/CW shows will be kind of a "Elseworlds-like" universe without any link between them.

They should do a final season with Eddie Thawne as the main villain bringing the story full circle and ending with a bit of decency before the audience continues to lose interest.
