THE FLASH: Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker & Jesse L. Martin Set To Return For Season 8; New Promo & Stills

It looks like The Flash will be bringing back most of its family next season, as Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, and Candice Patton have all closed deals to return for season eight.

While Team Flash got a little smaller this season, it looks like most of the family will be back next year, as Deadline is reporting that original cast members Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen), and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow/Frost) have all closed deals to return as series regulars for the already announced eighth season of The Flash.

They join series lead Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), who already had a deal in place that ran eight seasons. But with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, it's fair to wonder whether season eight could be the Scarlet Speedster's swan song, although that's just speculation for now.

With Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells/Reverse-Flash) and Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon/Mecha-Vibe) both exiting this season, it's probably a safe bet that Danielle Nicolet (Cecile Horton), Kayla Compton (Allegra Garcia), and Brandon McKnight (Chester P. Runk) will return as series regulars next season as well.

Check out the promo for episode sixteen of The Flash season seven, titled "P.O.W.," below:

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Still no......such bs, over several year old jokes.

Seriously they hired James Gunn after the same thing happened to him.

@dracula - people are way too sensitive nowadays. Best just delete all social media comments you ever made. Otherwise you're gonna get canceled too.

@dracula - Then the same company that fired Sawyer hired him almost immediately to help with their crumbling cinematic universe, they don't have a leg to stand on XD

Nice to see Patton and Panabaker back.

I like Martin, but honestly, I kind of feel both Joe and Cecile are no longer needed. Like really Joe hasn't had much screen time since that year Jesse L MArtin had that back injury.

@ElricReturns - haven't been keeping up since season 4, but my guess is they want to continue till 2024, you know when the event that flash “vanishes” in happens. My guess the show will end by that year.

If it's indeed the last season, you know what you need to do CW.

This was actually a solid episode. It was perhaps the best episode of the season, and it reminded me of season 2 at times. The Godspeeds were really cool, those were some sweet fights with cool VFX, and I like the mystery around them. Though Barry is pretty inferior to them.

This is what the show should have focused on after wrapping up the season 6 arc. The speed forces storyline was such a detriment to this season, I mean they basically wasted a majority of this season on a pretty crappy storyline. Hopefully the rest of these Godspeed episodes are like this past one.
