After being teased early last year, it's finally time for Gorilla Grodd and King Shark to throw down in what can only be described as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, showdowns in the history of The Flash.

While we don't have a description or photos just yet, there is some intense new footage as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and company race all across town in an effort to stop these two titans from bringing Central City to its knees, which is, of course, a lot easier said than done.

"TBD" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

TBD (#515). Original airdate 3/5/2019.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

The Flash features:
Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash
Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen
Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost
Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon/Vibe
Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells
Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West
Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man
Danielle Nicolet as Cecille Horton
Jessica Parker Kennedy as Nora West-Allen/XS
John Wesley Shipp as Henry Allen/Jay Garrick
Michelle Harrison as Nora Allen
Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West/Kid Flash
Violett Beane as Jesse Quick
Chris Klein as Orlin Dwyer/Cicada

Yikes. This episode was M E D I O C R E.

Thank god they actually weren't going to have an entire month's worth of episodes where they needed the cure to evolve itself. That's totally something this show would do so nice to see they didn't. And I will say kudos to the writing team, your reasoning for Barry not being there made sense this episode, even though that was totally an excuse to focus on Nora.

"Nora, you need to stay here." Thank you Barry. Nora, you're a dumbass. Barry has a job to do, everyone agreed on it- he needs to take the metahuman cure plot device into the speed force. And you're there trying to tell him not to go? Because of a villain that you essentially caused by screwing up the timeline? Shut up and sit down. Everything happening is your fault. If you properly let your father train you, you would be confident being a hero without him there to fix your mistakes.

Well that was A LOT of cringeworthy dialogue and scenes involving Cisco and his dating. Not a fan at all. Dude was with Gypsy- how can he be this terrible at dating??

"Tonight I'm going to beat you, all of you." And this is why Cicada has become an uninspired, poorly written, kind of poorly acted villain. One dimensional, monotone, etc. While DeVoe fell apart after he started burning through bodies, at least he was never one dimensional.

Wait wait wait wait. I am legit laughing. Nora ducks when the dagger comes flying back and doesn't use her speed powers to save Caitlyn??? She just selfishly saves herself and not her partner??? She can move fast enough to push Caitlyn out of the way, does she not realize she is a speedster?? HAHAHA. Goddamn, you can't make this stuff up, what a "hero"!!

Nora's reverse speed power imagery was actually visually done pretty well. BUT why doesn't Nora tell the team exactly what she just experienced when she reversed time, of why she did it? Say something immediately. I can give you one deja vu and not saying anything, but after the first one, that's just sheer incompetence. When Barry reversed time after Oliver sacrificed himself to Vandal Savage, Barry told people what was going on. He didn't hide it. Nora is supposed to be intelligent- why does she keep coming off as a bumbling idiot who lacks common sense? If I was in her shoes, I wouldn't hesitate to share what I just saw. Nora and her lies... lying (especially like she does) is a major, major character flaw. Seriously, what a poorly, poorly written character. Open your mouth and say something. You and your lies continue to put all of Team Flash at risk.

Continued...

Cisco has vibed an alternate timeline before. He should have known better. Maybe the first time, sure. But after that, he should have known. He literally talks about Eobard killing him in a following scene. "Guess I should have known the same thing was happening now." Uhh, yeah!

THEY LET CICADA GET AWAY AGAIN!! Holy shit. He's down, injured, and what does everyone do? They just stand there watching him. No sense of urgency to put cuffs on him, to restrain him, etc. They just stand there. LMFAO

Finally, Barry doing some real parenting to Nora. At least Barry's speech was fairly good.

Ahh, Sherloque, the good detective he is. So much for getting sidetracked by that hot date of his last episode. One episode later he is back at figuring out the truth behind Nora. And finally, Eobard. REally don't trust him having any desire to help save Barry.

This episode is another great example of the importance of quality. Doesn't matter what you're doing in your episode, how cool you look, how great the visuals are, etc.- if the quality isn't strong, everything gets derailed. Quality first and foremost, always...

Next week's episode looks both good and bad. On the plus side, Gorilla Grodd and King Shark versus each other should be sweet to see, both of those characters are great in the Arrowverse. On the other hand, this may end up being an unnecessary filler episode. Once again, cautiously optimistic.

So far this week:

1. Arrow- pretty good
2. Black Lightning- good/alright
3. Flash- mediocre/okay
