THE FLASH: Hope Dies In The New Extended Promo For The Season 3 Finale: "Finish Line"
There have been a lot of rumors floating around since the events of last night's episode of The Flash, and it looks like this new extended promo may have debunked the most popular fan theory...
Barry Allen did his best all season to save Iris from an untimely demise, but unfortunately, in the end, Savitar proved to be just one step ahead and delivered a fatal blow to the Scarlet Speedster's lady love.
Ever since the episode aired, there have been a lot of rumors floating around the interwebs, with the most popular fan theory currently being that H.R. somehow, in the heat of battle, managed to switch places with Iris at the last second with his face-swapping technology and sacrified himself to save her. However, while that theory is absolutely plausible (and not to mention quite noble), it doesn't look like we'll be seeing it come to fruition as the new extended preview reveals that H.R. was actually on the roof watching helplessly as Savitar devastated Team Flash.

Blinded by anger, Barry unwittingly plays into Zoom's game and uncovers the evil speedster's true goal: to destroy all the earths in the multiverse. But unable to celebrate victory, Barry makes a world-shaking decision and speeds back in time to the night his mother died to stop Reverse Flash from killing her, irrevocably changing his past and redetermining his future.
