After a shocking cliffhanger, next week's episode of The Flash looks to kickoff quite a two-part midseason finale as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) finds himself under Dr. Ramsey Rosso's (Sendhil Ramamurthy) influence, and it may have some seriously devastating consequences as he's no longer able to tell what's real, and what's not.

Meanwhile, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) uncovers a vast conspiracy, and judging by the end of tonight's episode, it may have something to do with Ralph's (Hartley Sawyer) missing persons case.

Matching wits with The Thinker, who by season’s end had harnessed the powers of all twelve bus metas he created, stretched Team Flash to their limits, but with the help of some new allies, Barry Allen (aka The Flash) and company were able to put a stop to the Enlightenment and save Central City once again. However, with the arrival of Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter, Nora, who arrived from the future admitting to having made a “big mistake,” things are anything but status quo. Will parenthood be the challenge that finally slows The Flash down?

I thought this was perhaps the worst episode of the season so far. This is the second episode this season where I have felt it retreaded into season 4 and 5 quality. There were some really dumb and head scratching scenes, plot points, etc. tonight. The writing and actions of characters in episode felt dumbed down. For the most part, it was a filler and throwaway episode. The most important part was the stuff with Nash, and this didn't even really receive much attention. Hell, outside of the absolute final few seconds, there wasn't even anything with Bloodwork.

Here were some observations I made tonight.

- I really don't like Cecile. She almost always is annoying. And the whole plot with Chester and Natalie was stupid, the worst part of the episode. Plus, her using her powers to get Natalie to go on a date with him is amoral.

- "January Galore" haha, James Bond and/or Austin Powers would be interested.

- How does Barry let his ass get kicked by UltraViolet? He is the freaking Flash. And there were some pretty dumb moments from characters at that villain gathering.

Hope next week is better.

I'd punch a baby for more Chester episodes.

My brief thoughts for now are that I am actually glad that any secret regarding Nash as of now don't relate to him being Pariah that is suffering of amnesia and that once he enters the Monitor's HQ he'll lose his mind and revert to being Pariah.

I was never such a big fan of that theory that sprouted over the weeks, I already like Nash quite a bit and am interested in how he fits in post Crisis once they start to dig deeper into the organization that Ultraviolet works for.

Much like Arrow at its worst, too much of the episode doesn't move the plot along at all and had way too much silly screen time for nonsense.
