THE FLASH: May Grodd Have Mercy On The Fastest Man Alive On This New Poster For Next Week's Episode

Grodd is coming to Earth-1 on next week's episode of The Flash, and the Fastest Man alive has better be prepared for the fight of his life.

The CW has released a new promo poster for "Attack on Central City", which depicts the enormous gorilla staring down his most dauntless foe. In fairness to Barry, he doesn't look very intimidated, and is returning the villain's defiant glare.

Check out the poster below, along with a synopsis for the ep. We also have a new Iron Fist banner that's basically just an artistic interpretation of the recent motion poster. Yes, we've combined DC and Marvel news... whatever next!

May Grodd Have Mercy On The Scarlet Speedster On New Poster For The Flash

When Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov) and his army of gorillas bring the battle to Earth-1, The Flash (Grant Gustin) and team must find a way to stop them before they destroy Central City. Gypsy (guest star Jessica Camacho) returns to join the fight. Meanwhile, Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) decides she wants to stay with Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) on Earth-1. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Todd Helbing and teleplay by Benjamin Raab & Deric A. Hughes.

The Flash returns with "Attack on Central City" next Tuesday on The CW.

That's a sweet poster. Really cool.

Glad they're finally putting Grodd in his armor....these few episodes are a welcomed upgrade from the boring Savitar story.

I appreciate them bringing back Grodd, but I REALLY wanted him to be the one with the half-season arc instead of ANOTHER speedster...

So fine...

I'm still in awe of what they can pull of as far as effects on this show. I was amazed by king shark last season but this last episode really raised the bar

@Ha1frican - Happens to me all the time too. And the fact that they started with a full CGI Savitar but now actually have an entire, literally, practical suit for the entire thing on set to only blend it in post production for the special effects is still incredible.

I think they learned many things from King Shark in S2. I hope they can bring back Tar Pit in the future to show more of him.

The Flash posters always have a way to standout and this one is no exception. Love the death-glare stare down between them.

Disagree about Savitar's story being boring, never seen before a CB TV show with a plot based on trying to prevent certain events in order to prepare for an upcoming and potential tragedy. Plus all of the work behind in animating Savitar is no less impressive than the one to bring Grodd or Solovar to life.

Can't wait for Iron Fist.

@NinnesMBC - it's not never seen before, that's basically the plot of Heroes Season 1, prevent the explosion in Kirby plaza/save the cheerleader, save the world. While not based on a comic book original, it did have a companion digital comic book published with it.

@Beetleborg - I see then. I knew a bit about Heroes and I remember that part of their plot. In that case I would argue that the difference here lies on the scope: Heroes was about saving the world while The Flash is about saving a particular loved one.

@NinnesMBC - That is true but also the Flash is stupid about. This week's episode Barry Allen says something along the lines of "I have to save the world from a Gorilla Invasion, so that I can still try to save Iris."

Him saving the whole world, was belittled to the fact that he is only doing it to save Iris, rather than wanting to, y'know, save everyone.

@Beetleborg - It's not about stupid but thinking it in a more wide and broad sense. The gorilla invasion is an event that they were anticipating and realize that if it could be prevented then it'd affect the future and change one moment to the next (as the dominos example showed) until it it got to change Iris's supposed predestined fate.

He still went because he couldn't leave E2 Wells/Harry behind.

I quit the show with intentions of returning to it once I heard it got good again. I tried this week's episode. No, I am sorry. I can't watch this show anymore, nor any of the other CW shows.

After being exposed to the masterpiece that is FX's Legion, literally all the comic book shows (with the exception of the Marvel Netflix shows) are trash in comparison to it.

The Flash was one of my favorite shows on television but this season is lame and a total retread of Season 2. What a joke.

I bet that Solivar will be on Flash's side next episode.

Someone remember that for next week.
