Fans of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman finally got a look at some new footage from the upcoming Netflix adaptation yesterday via a Geeked Week promo video, and the show's Twitter account has now debuted three new stills.
The images feature Game of Thrones alum Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Tom Sturridge as the titular Dream Lord as he rebuilds his realm, and we also have another shot of Morpheus as he converses with his loyal raven, Matthew, who will be voiced by Patton Oswalt.
We still don't have an official date for The Sandman, but it is expected to premiere at some point this year.
The Sandman also stars Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Logan actor Boyd Holbrook as sadistic escaped nightmare The Corinthian, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as black magician Roderick Burgess, and Asim Chaudhry (Black Mirror) and Sanjeeve Bhaskar (Yesterday) as Abel and Cain, respectively.
We recently learned that Desire and Despair will be played by Mason Alexander Park and Donna Preston, respectively, while Joely Richardson will play Ethel Cripps, and David Thewlis will take on the role of her son John Dee, aka the deranged Dr. Destiny. Jenna Coleman will play John Constantine's great-great-great grandmother, Lady Johanna Constantine.
The 10-episode first season of The Sandman will adapt the first two arcs of the Vertigo comics series, "Preludes and Nocturnes" and "The Dolls House."
