Andy Poon Posts And Deletes Impulse Concept Art? Bart Allen Headed to the CW?

The Arrowverse's conceptual designer has, according to numerous Instagram users, recently shared what seems to be a concept design for the CW's take on Barry Allen's own grandson, Bart Allen aka Impulse.

This season of the Flash has introduced a version of Barry Allen's daughter, traditionally known as Dawn, in the form of Jessica Parker Kennedy's Nora Allen. While traditionally Barry's son, Don, is the father to fan-favorite speedster Impulse it seems the CW might be making a change to the lore.

According to a number of Instagram users Andy Poon, concept designer for the Arrowverse posted and removed the concept design pictured above on Valentine's Day.

Clearly, the post's removal is reason-enough to be skeptical, but what's arguably more interesting is the caption "Concept for Impulse we didn't get to use unfortunately".

Some have been quick to note that this concept seems to be indirectly based on the Keiynan Lonsdale Kid Flash concept art released some time ago, but it's worth noting that this isn't an uncommon practice. Even the Avengers Endgame concept art is just 'reskined' and 'reworked' versions of previous concept art.

So, are you excited for Impulse to appear?

Sounds cool 😎 can’t wait to see how they may introduce him. I’m not sure if it wouldn’t just be a rehash of Nora though.

@Nebula - the suit design itself is fine to me; the photoshop of whoever's face that is is pretty bad though.

Impulse is great, but do I want him in the Arrowverse, no. The reason why I don't want to see another great character being taking out and getting a butt whooping.

I personally felt that the producers of the Arrowverse missed an opportunity of making Nora really a secret villain and was doing all the mistakes on purpose. It would have been great to see that Reverse Flash had an inside man (woman) who was making changes to the timeline that makes it so his future self never disappears when he would go back to the present timeline.

I can't decide if that last name is awesome or unfortunate.

Either way, it's pretty funny.

The view of this current costume is something I'll never get used to. They sould ditch this crappy version ASAP.

@johnnymarr - they need to add the cowl back. Kind of surprised they didn't do it after the Elseworlds crossover.

@HeavyMetal4Life - God only knows why they don't use the already developed "future Flash" costume.
