DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns Teases Huge Plans For TEEN TITANS After TNT Passes On Pilot

When TNT announced last month that they had scrapped that Titans TV series, it appeared as if Nightwing and his fellow heroes had been put on the scrapheap. Well, it turns out that's not the case

When TNT confirmed that they wouldn't be moving forward with that Titans TV series, it appeared as if the project was dead, especially as there was no mention of another network stepping in to develop the show which looked set to revolve around Nightwing and his fellow young DC Comics superheroes.

However, when TV Line caught up with DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns at the Television Critics Assocation press tour last month, he revealed: "We [at DC] have known about [Turner nixing Titans] for months and months and months. That’s not new news to us. We have plans for Titans," Johns asserted. "It’s a huge piece of DC and we have plans."

Could those plans be a movie? It's certainly possible as rumours are pointing to that being the case (many fans believe the Cyborg movie is going to become Teen Titans), but we'll just have to wait and see. Either way, it's clear that we'll be seeing the team in live-action at some point in the near future.

Yeah, scrap the Cyborg movie for a Teen Titans movie. Everyone would rather see the latter anyways.

@MrJillyMcBeam - There aren't enough Black super heroes on screen chump...scrap someone else's movie instead of Cyborg dammit.

Teen titans movie with slade as the villain would be great

@Grodd87 - Slade? I was thinking more along the lines of

but you know, after Cyborg helps defeat Darkseid, he totally will have trouble with Slade

@Scorpo I agree with that but slade is a huge villain and not sure what movie they can put him in except this. I think there r to many batman villains before slade that we will see on screen

Titans movie. Not Teen Titans. Teen Titans would get more people in seats, but Cyborg doesn't exactly look like a teen.

DC TV is great but the Teen Titans deserve the silver screen treatment and since Cyborg is already in the mix, it should be a no-brainer.

@Batmike - Thank you Teen Titans are worthy of the silver screen, the should be apart of this universe WB/DC are trying to create.

Titans movie could work especially if they'll introduced a bunch of former sidekicks on the ranks.

I feel like a movie is definitely on the way. Geoff Johns is definitely involved with the DCEU, and his statement that Titans is a huge piece of DC sounds like he means he means they'll be an important component of the film universe. Also, DC released Batman: Assault On Arkham, an animated Batman film that was really a Suicide Sqaud film in disguise, and then proceeded to announce a live-action Sqaud film months later. I feel they're doing the same thing by making Justice League vs Teen Titans, which I feel is really primarily a Teen Titans film, though the league is given equal billing. Hopefully my theory is right and we will get a film. Deathstroke is the obvious choice to be the villain of the film I would think; Trigon for the sequel would be dope.

CYBORG/TEEN TITANS SET-UP: Cyborg's technology is exploited and attached to the OMAC Project, which will pinpoint the members of the Teen Titans that will appear in a future movie.

With a Cyborg movie coming, a Teen Titans movie could be possible. They could use that was a launch pad for Tt though I think they made Cyborg a JL member

I just love the animation style of Young Justice, I prefer it than the style they seem to be going with in the new Justice League animated Show
