Per Heroic Hollywood, Tony Zucco, Robin's very own Joe Chill, is
slated to appear in the upcoming live-action Teen Titans TV show from DC Entertainment's unnamed streaming platform. As Joe Chill is the Gotham criminal who murdered Bruce Wayne's parents in Crime Alley, Zucco sabotaged
The Fly Grayson's acrobat equipment prior to one of their famous "no safety net" performances.
In a separate report,
Screen Rant has spotted some production photos which indicate that one or maybe all of the Maroni Crime Family will have a presence on the
Titans show. The Maroni's have been around almost as long as Batman, playing key roles in several graphic novels, including The Long Halloween. Sal Maroni is the most famous member of the group as the individual responsible for scarring Harvey Dent's face, leading to his transformation into Two-Face.
DC Entertainment's streaming platform is slated to debut this Winter. Its launch is expected to be anchored by
Titans, and season 3 of
Young Justice. In addition, there's a
Superman prequel, titled
Metropolis, which is currently in pre-production and will be exclusive to the platform.
Tony Zucco made his most prominent appearance outside of comics in the two-part Batman:TAS episode, "Robin's Reckoning."
Eric Roberts played Sal Maroni in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy.
