TV Line have revealed that Leslie Hope (24, Revolution) has joined the cast of The Strain. According to the site, she will play "Joan Luss, one of the few survivors of the outbreak". With Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro set to helm the pilot, it's thought that Hope will become a recurring presence in the series should the network decide to give it a full season order. She joins an impressive cast which includes Corey Stoll, John Hurt, Kevin Durand, Mía Maestro, Sean Astin and Doug Jones. The series has a pilot order (which will be helmed by the Pacific Rim director) but is being eyed for a full 13-episode pickup according to various outlets. What do you guys think?

Berserker, you should've just said "I haven't read the books, and therefore can't form an educated opinion. " Then we wouldn't all think you're an idiot.

Anyhoo... If the show follows the books fairly closely, well, don't order that new car just yet, Leslie.
