Miguel Gomez Joins The Cast Of Guillermo Del Toro's THE STRAIN
Miguel Gomez has joined a cast which includes Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro and Kevin Durand in FX's small screen adaptation of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's vampire novel trilogy, The Strain.
Deadline reports that Bless Me and Ultima actor Miguel Gomez has joined the cast of The Strain as 'Augustin "Gus" Elizalde'. They describe the character as, "a badass gang-banger whose one redeeming trait is his love for his mother. Fresh out of juvenile hall after serving eighteen months for manslaughter, he becomes one of humanity’s most effective warriors in the struggle against the vampires." The series has a pilot order (which will be helmed by the Pacific Rim director) but is being eyed for a full 13-episode pickup according to various outlets.
