"Season 4 of Game of Thrones was formally commissioned by HBO on April 2, 2013 after viewer ratings showed a substantial increase between the second and third season openers. Due to the sheer length of the third novel, which is roughly 1.5 times the size of the first novel, the events of "A Storm of Swords" was split between season 3 and the upcoming season 4. However, Season 4 may also contain some material from the fourth and fifth books as some of those events happen concurrently to events taking place in "A Storm of Swords." In the wake of the Red Wedding, how does the North pick up the pieces and with their greatest enemy seemingly crushed, where does that leave the Lannisters. Daenerys Targaryen now has an army but is she ready to take back her homeland. Does Jon Snow turn south to seek revenge or remember his duty along the Wall?"

Anybody here believe the "r+l=j" theory?
NERO
NERO - 2/9/2014, 11:56 PM
@Makiveli

I wonder about the R+L=J theory. It makes sense since RB would have had J murdered in a heartbeat if he though J was a T, so of course E would lie to protect J for the sake of the late L. Buuuut, this is JRRM we're talking about so I wonder if the theory is too obvious.

In any case I'm just happy we get to see The Purple Wedding this season. [frick] you JB.

One other thing about the R+L=J theory: If R begat J and the T only breed with T than D could by that custom bed J. Auntie love. But the fate of J was in question as of the last book and another T is on the scene now, so again this being GRRM (as opposed to typo JRRM I miss the edit feature) R+L=J and J being ice and D being Fire may be moot.

I think the R+L = J theory is the one out there which makes the most sense by far.

But remember, the dragon has 3 heads.

I really hope Martin doesn't die before finishing this series, especially since there's word they're gonna split that last book.

@Nero,

But if J is a T (and seriously think he is), he'd be the third T; a dragon for each.

@Nero Just about every rational-thinking person who's read the books believes the R+L=J theory.

Drogon is a cool ass but he will never be Smaug.
Klone
Klone - 2/10/2014, 8:40 AM
If you ask me, Middle Earth has a cooler world, better history and better villains and more epic but Westeros has a cooler story, more engaging characters and twists.
NERO

@Bloodraven

Didn't say I don't believe the R+L=J Theory, it makes perfect sense. I just think GRRM is famous for curve balls and I wouldn't put it passed him to toss another one just when so many people think they have something figured out.
