Promo For GAME OF THRONES S203 "What is Dead May Never Die"

Game Of Thrones & Breaking Bad will likely be the best dramas of 2012 with good reason. Only complaint about GoT right now is way to munch sex scenes. Thats more of spartacus's strong suite, this season is to short and the second book is to long for it to be wasted. Titties are fine though, just progress the story with it.

i love the series but i do agree that there is way too many sex scenes in it. i mean seriously, a whore walks by in the brothel with her tits out while people are having a conversation relevant to the plot, that fine. but im getting kinda tired of seeing greyjoy nailing every girl he sees.

The books have loads of sex scenes, the show has loads of sex scenes, its a ancient time where being a prude was not even a 2nd thought and Political Correctness type rules were light years from being invented. Viewers complaining about sex scenes should really find a less realistic show to watch like Merlin. This show set out for mature viewers only and aint about to change for a handful of moaning prudes. The first episode of last season set the standard, if you didn't want to see more of that content, then you shouldn't of got on board this ship!

However still have to give him credit for making the books epic and if not for him, Game of Thrones wouldn't be on tv.

1: We're introduced to Jaqen H'ghar in the cage with three prisoners.

2: We discover that Gendy knows Arya's secret.

3: Everyone learns that The royal house is searching for Gendy and has a price on his head.

4: We learn that Vary's knows the secret location of Tirions whore whom his father forbid to bring to the city.

5: We learned that the west still do not take heed of the Black watch's warning of the dead walkers returning.

6: We learned that one of Crasters young wives is pregnant and wishes to escape with the Nightwatch.

7: Rhakaro died!

8: Theon Greyjoy finally returned home to join his fathers forces with Robb Stark and we're introduced to Lordsport.

9: We're introduced to Theon Sister who has learned to fight and lead in the place of her dead brothers who died in the rebellion that Theon was taken as a prisoner and ward to Ed Stark.

10: We are introduced to Theon's father and learn he has his own plans to reclaim his position as King.

11: We learned that LittleFinger does not have a single remorseful bone in his body and only cares about coin and acquisition of power.

12: We learned that it wasn't Cersei Lannister who ordered the killing of Robert's Bastards but Jofferey!

13: We learn that Tyrion as the new hand of the king intends to usurp his sisters control of Kings Landing by initially taking control of the City Watch and placing Bronn in charge.

14: We also learn Tyrion has a sense of justice when he accuses the old City Watch commander of betraying Ed Stark and the immoral killing of children, banishing to take the Black and join the brothers on the Wall.

15: We Learn that Stannis's forces are the smallest out of all claiming the thrones and he has to enlist pirates to bolster his only strong point, his fleet.

16: We learned that the main reason Cersei despises Tyrion is because their mother died giving birth to him, not because he was born an unfavourable midget.

17: We learn that Melisandre has designs to further control Stannis by giving him a son where his estranged wife could only produce daughters.

18: We finally discover what Craster does to his boy children and his pact with the "Others".

..none of these points drove the story any further for you? Either you're watching with the sound on mute or content and exposition does not equate to story in your opinion!

16: We learn that Davos's son is more devout a follower of Stannis and the God of Light than his father which could lead to future conflict.

Nah, once again Ceejay is almost completely missing the point and seizing an excuse to have a little moan as usual. It has absolutely nothing to do with being a prude. You ever heard of the word "gratuitous"? Because last night's little double peephole/blowjob/cumwipe scene was the very definition of the word. Don't you understand that those scenes don't bother people (at least most people that have issue with it on here I suspect) because of how graphic they are, they bother them because they are so clearly shoved in simply because it's completely obvious that the show makers are only doing it because they know they can. It only happens to be sex, if we saw the characters playing fracking ping pong frequently in scenes that weren't at all relevant to the plot it would be just as annoying!

@GC, yeah I know..bit of a deviation from the books, although it's hinted that she is using sex to partly influence and control Stannis, it's never confirmed. Didn't bother me too much though.

Oh and just as an addition top the "sexposition" discussion, I think the reviewer over at Vulture sums it up pretty well..

Before we end for today, let’s talk about sex. There was a lot of it on display last night, even more so than usual (which is saying something). Was all of it worth it? The sexposition scene with the captain’s daughter made me incredibly uncomfortable: the girl seemed so exposed, so obviously exploited. But ultimately, I felt the graphicness of the scene was justifiable. Her vulnerability, and Theon’s callousness with her, made an important point about Theon’s character — though the choice to let the camera linger on her seemed less than necessary. The scenes in Littlefinger’s brothel, on the other hand, seemed entirely gratuitous. It’s a brothel. We know what happens there. And did we really need to see him wipe the cum off one girl’s face before sending her off to another client? What are we supposed to learn from that moment — that sex involves a lot of stray fluids?

I don't mind the sex scenes in GoT. They fall well within the story and do tend to move a characters individual arch along, at the very least.

Spartacus is imo just extra. The sex scenes there are clearly for Shock value. While the ancient Greeks were probably one of the most outrageously sexual societies to exist, the show clearly throws the sex in there to match it violence, which is exaggerated and unnecessary at times.

Last night was a great episode. I have to agree with Ceejay completely that it drove to story along nicely.

Gendry is being played brilliantly. Last nights episode was a nice showing for him.

Jaqen is interesting. One of my favorite characters from the books. He will be interesting when they reach Harrenhal.

There was a good bit of sex in the episode but it was all warranted. Theon's scene with the ships captain's daughter is straight out of the book. And the Littlefinger scene was used primarily to show one thing...Kings Landing is a dirty, vile place and those who play the Game of Thrones care very little for anything outside of their own gain and power. It also showed the citizens reaction to the Gold Cloak's murdering all of those people at Joffrey's command. That will play a huge role later in the season when things get rather difficult in King's Landing.

The world of Westeros is hard, dangerous and mean. Last nights episode did a great job of further conveying that.

Nope, we knew absolutely everything about what type of person Littlefinger was, what type of place Westeros (particularly Kings Landing) was and what goes on in a damn whorehouse before witnessing that scene. It was shoved in there for the sake of it, end of. The content didn't bother me..who doesn't enjoy seeing hot naked women shagging?..the reasons for it did. GOT is far too classy and well put together series to start to fall into these type of traps imo.

I disagree as well, i think the brothel scene was used to remind the audience of just how viscious LITTLEFINGER is. The monologue he delivered to the girl was EXCELLENT (that dude is a fantastic actor), and i think the scenes preceding that go towards events coming in the future. LITTLEFINGER thinks he he is above all that, never does he sleep with those "whores", instead saving himself for someone highborn. You don't think it bothers him that he's stuck wiping the mouth of whores and putting out these petty fires?

You've read the books as well, so you know how high of station LITTLEFINGER yearns to be. I thought that brothel scene was brilliant.

I'm with @ROR on this one. We already know how things work in King's Landing and the kind of person Littlefinger is, yesterday's brothel scene did nothing for the character IMO.

I love me some T&A but last night's scenes felt clumsy (Greyjoy and the girl/Brothel/Stannis and Melisandre), I'd rather have that time spent in something else.
