GAME OF THRONES Author Teases Season 4's "Purple Wedding"

That's right, we have another wedding to look forward to next season on HBO's Game Of Thrones -- the marriage of the lovely Margaery Tyrell and not so lovely Joffrey Baratheon. Can it be as...eventful as the last one? Possible SPOILERS ahead..

In the penultimate episode of Game Of Thrones' third season, many fans were left traumatized by the horrific events of the "red wedding", but just in case you haven't read the source novels, we must warn you that there's another big day coming up in season 4! In around 6 months when the next season kicks off, we'll see Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer) and Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson) tie the knot -- but will this wedding be accompanied by the same amount of bloodshed? Well you'll have to wait and see, but George R.R. Martin drops a few hints to TV Guide.

“It’s going to be the wedding of the year, and as memorable in its own way as our wedding last season. It’s what the fans call the Purple Wedding, based on the color of the wine, which plays a big part. It looks spectacular, the bride’s dress incorporates roses, there are 77 courses at the dinner feast, and there’s some wonderful halftime entertainment.”

Here are some snaps of the wedding set in Croatia.
