RUMOR: Here's How The Scarlet Witch's Fate Will Be Addressed In AGATHA: DARKHOLD DIARIES - SPOILERS

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ended with the apparent demise of the Scarlet Witch, but a new rumour claims to reveal how Wanda Maximoff's fate will be addressed in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries...

WandaVision put the spotlight on Wanda Maximoff's transformation into the Scarlet Witch, though fans were shocked (and more than a little disappointed) to see her become a full-blown villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Avenger managed to somewhat redeem herself once all was said and done, but her fate remains a mystery.

While a flash of red light seemed to suggest she had escaped being crushed beneath the Darkhold Castle on Mount Wundagore, Marvel Studios' plans for Wanda are unclear.

There's been some chatter online about a solo Scarlet Witch movie but before we reach that point, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is set to premiere on Disney+ later this year.  The show will primarily focus on what became of Agatha Harkness after she was left trapped in Westview but we also expect to see Billy Maximoff, a.k.a. Wiccan, put front and centre.

According to scooper @CanWeGetToast, Wanda will be presumed dead throughout the series. However, when Agatha is asked directly by another character whether Wanda is really dead, she supposedly responds with, "If you want straight answers, ask a straight witch" (Agatha's ex-wife will be introduced in the show).

It's previously been reported that a Special Presentation exploring The Witches' Road will shed more light on the Scarlet Witch's MCU future. Whether Elizabeth Olsen has shot anything is unknow, though she very much remains in the Marvel Studios fold after recently lending her voice to the Disney+ animated series, What If...?

Beyond that, we're expecting to see her in both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. Given Wanda's experience with the Multiverse and her immense power level, we're sure she'll be crucial when Earth's Mightiest Heroes assemble to fight Kang the Conqueror...or whoever takes that villain's place as this Saga's big bad!

Agatha: Darkhold Diaries - which is rumoured to eventually be retitled Agatha All Along - will feature the return of many familiar faces from WandaVision, including Emma Caulfield Ford (Sarah Proctor), Debra Jo Rupp (Sharon Davis), David Payton (John Collins), David Lengel (Harold Proctor), Asif Ali (Abilash Tandon), Amos Glick (Dennis), Brian Brightman (Sheriff Miller), and Kate Forbes (Evanora Harkness).

Kathryn Hahn will lead the cast, of course, while other noteworthy additions include Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, and Maria Dizzia.

What do you hope to see from the Scarlet Witch in the MCU moving forward?

What a weird answer to the question.

This article presupposes anyone will watch Agatha and even further, that anyone remembers or cares about The Scarlet Witch at this point.

Having loved Wanda since MTU #41, seeing her go from weird MCU insert to badass Avenger in AoU to the ham fisted ball dropping they've done on her since WandaVision is disappointing.

You can't contain someone like her so she should remain dead.

I don’t believe Scarlett which is dead. I do believe Lizzie wanted a break from the MCU. I’m sure when it’s time the MCU will back up the brinks truck to get her back

@MyCoolYoung - I doubt it, almost everyone wants to leave now. It’s too exhausting playing these heroes and keeping your body fit all the time. Not only that, but the actors want to do other movies, they are burned out on playing the same character over and over.

They want to grow as actors and try new things and experiences. Just ask Tom Holland, or any of the other heroes who have already left, like Chris Evans, Scar Jo, Robert Downey Jr.

The actors are bored to death with their characters. I’m sure they cringe every time they put on their suit.

...so this article that claims we're gonna get it cleared up if Wanda is dead, but instead of actually addressing the question Agatha just basically say this?

?si=5zu-CLsLzpNZThhZ

And they wonder why we keep complaining about this woke bs. It's seriously prioritizing representation over the sh!t we care about like story, character, and continuity.

Also, BTW, if the scene is just a recreation of this idubbz meme, costume and all, I'll take back everything I said.

She was all the way bad. Evil. Killed lots of good people.

She deserves to be dead.

@JobinJ - seriously. People online wanting a redemption arc for Wanda are nuts. I don’t think Wanda is dead but I do think she will eventually die in Secret Wars by sacrificing herself.

@JobinJ - totally right. She's waaaay past redemption.

Redemption. Caused the deaths of couple thousand New Yorkers, killed people himself. But yet here we are with him as a hero now.

Guys you've GOTTA Love Kevin Fiege and the New MCU way of producing content. Give the fans Shitt they didn't ask for THEN have the stars and writers etc of these projects trash said fans for not supporting it at the box office or streaming viewership. GREAT IDEA 💡

"...The Avenger managed to somewhat redeem herself" -Josh "Make-Mine-Marvel" Wilding

Sure Josh. Pulling rocks down upon herself more than compensates for her rampaging, inter-dimensional, psychotic, evil, blood-thirsty, mass-murdering. 😐

Didn't Agatha have a husband in WandaVision,I can't remember.

Anyway this will end up being more of the same Disney Marvel crap.

I must admit I’d have rather Agatha Harkness had been more comic accurate and portrayed as an older woman.
