AGENT CARTER'S LIFE IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN WHEN FUGITIVE HOWARD STARK REAPPEARS, ON "MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER" ON ABC

Dominic Cooper Guest Stars as Howard Stark

Marvel Legend Stan Lee Makes a Special Cameo

"The Blitzkrieg Button" - Peggy may be in more trouble than usual when fugitive Howard Stark suddenly returns for mysterious reasons. And Chief Dooley chases a new clue all the way to Europe that threatens to destroy Peggy's future at the SSR, on "Marvel's Agent Carter," TUESDAY, XXX (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

It's 1946 and peace has dealt Peggy a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy finds herself stuck doing administrative work when she would rather be back out in the field; putting her vast skills into play and taking down the bad guys. But she is also trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life, Steve Rogers – aka Captain America.

When old acquaintance Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper, Marvel's "Captain America: The First Avenger”) finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash, he contacts Peggy - the only person he can trust - to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name. He empowers his butler, Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy, “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”), to be at her beck and call when needed to help assist her as she investigates and tracks down those responsible for selling these weapons of mass destruction. But Jarvis, who is a creature of habit and sticks to a rigid daily routine, is going to have to make some major life changes if he’s going to be able to keep up with Peggy.

If caught going on these secret missions for Stark, Peggy could be targeted as a traitor and spend the rest of her days in prison – or worse. And as she delves deeper into her investigation, she may find that those she works for are not who they seem, and she might even begin to question whether Stark is as innocent as he claims.

Agent Carter will feature:
Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter
Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark
James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis
Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson
Enver Gjokaj as Agent Daniel Sousa
Shea Whigham as Roger Dooley
Lyndsy Fonseca as Angie Martinelli
Kyle Bornheimer as Ray Krzeminski
Costa Ronin as Anton Vanko
Bridget Regan as Dottie
Meagen Fay as Miriam Fry

Agent Carter returns January 27

Has this gotten better since the first episode?

From watching the episodes and seeing the reactions to it, I think this is accurate:

If you guys like Captain America: The First Avenger, then you'll love the show. It's practically a direct sequel to it, anyway, and it totally feels like it could take place in that movie too. But if you're bothered by the period setting, the campiness, the way they talked back then, the fact that the show isn't shying away from how women were treated, etc etc...then this show's probably not for you.

I'd say the episodes have gotten better and better since the pilot, though. Much better than how Agents of SHIELD started, at least.

Batz...I said the same thing to myself last week.

@blackandyellow

The pilot was solid, the 2nd episode was awesome, and the 3rd episode was good (not as good as the first 2).

Looking forward to Tuesday.

@AnimalDesatado

Edwin Jarvis is Howard Stark's butler. Tony (apparently) names his AI after him.

@SauronsBane "the show isn't shying away from how women were treated, etc etc...then this show's probably not for you." Hahaha have you not noticed how the fanboys treat women on this site? Nothing's changed!

@Gruff Yup, not much has changed at all (and I'm certainly guilty of that too). That's why it's such an important issue for the show to cover. You're 100% right unfortunately.

@Crabnado

That's not how the comics portray her. She's a spy -not a superhero. ALthough Hayley Atwell could certainly play a heroine. And if she hadn't got Peggy -she would had made a perfect Miss America.

I'm still hoping that Peggy Carter can introduce the Invaders if her show is extended into future seasons. Falsworth (Union Jack) was in Cap: TFA. And we saw Jim Hammond's android in that movie too. If Sub-mariner can't get a solo movie -perhaps he could be introduced first in Agent Carter before an appearance in the MCU.

@BboiBlack

That would be 2 months AFTER the second 8 episode season. And I don't think there will be a second season. Don't think it was planned on. I believe we'll get a different mini-series during AoS's mid-season hiatus next year.
