AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. S1 E05 Synopsis "Girl In The Flower Dress" Teases Appearance Of 'Raina'

Marvel have released the synopsis for episode five of ABC's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and this one promises that the team will have to deal yet another mysterious individual with powers. It also appears as if "Girl In The Flower Dress" will introduce Savage Land character, 'Raina'.

An elusive girl in a flower dress may hold the key to the mystery that brings Coulson and team to Asia to rescue a young man with an unusual and dangerous power; and Skye has a secret that jeopardizes her relationship with the team right when they need her most.


This episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will feature Louis Changchien as Renshu Tseng, Austin Nichols as Miles Lydo and Ruth Negga as Raina. While the first two don't appear to be well-known Marvel characters, Raina is a character from the Savage Land in the comic books and a member of the Saurid race. "Girl In The Flower Dress" was written by Brent Fletcher and directed by Jesse Bochco.

guys it's a [frick]ing raft plugging a hole in a plane. Jesus, you people will complain about anything. We're watching a show about superheroes, gods, aliens, and flying aircraft carriers. I'm pretty sure the laws of physics and possibility are already being bent enough as it is.

Look, complain about the writing or the characterization or the acting or whatever if you like, but complaining about nitpicky stuff like the raft is just childish.

(all that said, I'm quite enjoying this series. it's fun. the blacklist is quite a bit better, but S.H.I.E.L.D is still pretty great)

Plz kill off the 2 scientist, they are becoming the jar jar binks of Marvel

Plz show us more marvel comic superheroes and villains( Arrow shows a bunch of them and Shield should do the same, maybe even more)

In the comics Shield had plenty of lesser known superheroes be part of the team. We one of them to become a regular on the show, since all of these characters are pretty much made up, smh(excluding Coulson)

I think the problem with the Whedon formula is that his television is sooooooo character driven. His trademark requires him to slowly flesh out these characters and then give them huge payoffs when their time comes. The reason why his shows either last a long time or they fail in the first season is because if he can get the viewers past the first season then they will love the characters and become loyal fans. If he cant hold the viewers in the first season and the studio is looking for an instant success, then 9 times out of 10 its going to get cancelled. I'm hoping that everyone can get over the instant hype that marvel gives to this show and people just have patience and watch where they're gunna go with it....as we all know there is potential to do some pretty awesome stuff with this show and the movies.

It's pretty apparent that people will complain just to complain. I am a huuuge Buffy fan, but that first season is very cheesy and hokey. Whenever I have rewatched the series, I skip season 1. This is only two episodes in, so give it some time. I just laugh because the same people who said the show needed a cameo here and there and introduce characters were the same ones who rolled their eyes at the Fury cameo and said it was stupid and lame and pointless. Two episodes in, and you get a Sam Jackson cameo and people still cry. Go watch something else.
