Evil Ward is the best Ward

How can he possibly be a good guy? Even if there's something about his mission that we don't know about he's already committed enough evil acts that there'll be no redemption for him.

This poster makes it look like the episode wont only be exploring Wards bascksory. Prehaps we get some insight into Fitz and Simmons life SHIELD?

@ RorMachine

Non in this episode but in season two, you will see some hack writers will figure out some lame plot to bring him back into the fold.

@Joe How do you know this? have you got a time mahcine? Are you a writer for Season 2? Your just assuming the worst which is never good. redeeming Ward would be like redeeming Slade in Arrow. They started off good but they've killed to many and done to much damage to the point where there is no redemtion. Even if Ward wants it he's not going to get it.

I think thats the route they will most likely take. They'll have Ward put down his life for the team, then Tripp will be the new 'muscle' of the team in season 2.

@RorMachine

You never know with Whedon. People said the same thing about Angel (and Spike...)

The team will find out that he was brainwashed and taken advantage of and all will be forgiven.

Unless he do a "Vader" where he sacrifice his life for the good of the team.

Damn, haven't thought about that. I bet that's how it will happen
MarkCassidy

Nah, I don't think they'd be foolish enough to try that. My guess is Ward will stay the bad guy, albeit a semi-sympathetic bad guy, until the end of the series..or until he's clipped.

PsyGuy, yeah but Whedon was smart enough to have a "get out of jail fee" card when it came to the vampire characters. No soul = evil, get soul back = good and wracked with guilt.

@Nom I hope not... They really need to keep him bad and then take him on a path where he only gets worse... Then give him some sort of costume and make him a true assassin in the vein of Deathstroke (but not exactly, just a little bit)
batz11

Probably having to do it so they don't kill his brother or something...my prediction stands...Paxton will be the Grim Reaper (Eric Williams) -- Ward will become Wonder Man (Simon Williams)...he will turn good, kinda...

"Fear the Reaper" tune on when Paxton was flying the jet in Turn, Turn, Turnepisode...

Oh, and I need more cowbells :)

You guys remember how the finale season episode said we'd get a guest appearance by Oswalt? Do you think they'd pull something where in the finale episode we find out that Coulson, Ward, Oswalt's character, and possibly even Hand were all in on a secret mission to crush Hydra?
Dedpool
Dedpool - 5/1/2014, 9:56 AM
Just let him redeem himself (or at least start) and then die. If they have to do the turn back to good, he shouldn't live.
ProfessorX

Ward is a dead man walking. The only question is whether he does some redeemable act before he dies.
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 5/1/2014, 9:58 AM
I love Evil Ward. I don't want him to ever go away. He's quickly become the best, most complex character on the show. And I definitely don't want him turning into a comic book character just to please fanboys either. He's got a great story to explore, and it might help to show the inner workings of Hydra, show us how they attract soldiers.

It looks like it's only FitzSimmons trapped in that tank. If he kills them, no redemption at all for the [frick]er.

That is what I am thinking because Ward was trying to tell something to Skye or something like you do not understand etc........

Same here. I honestly think Ward, Coulson and Hand were all in on a secret mission to crush Hydra. I think thats how this season could end. And I have those feelings reinforced because of the shear fact that Oswalt is returning in the finale episode.

I still think he's good. That said when or if they do reveal he's been working for fury or something id like him to be more of this new personality thats more bad ass and kinda crazy than his previous wooden self

@Nomis, I was recently looking up info about TASKMASTER, apparently he's with Fox for some reason? Though thought Marvel could use all their characters in tv, not sure about that...

From the article, not sure how legit this is though:
CONCLUSION: Given the information available, Taskmaster's film rights are, inexplicably, at Fox.
