Marvel Studios will release all episodes of Echo in one go this November, a new approach to sharing its Disney+ TV shows with the world.
We're used to most streaming series dropping in one go, of course, but as the landscape has changed in recent years, weekly drops are now commonplace. Why? To keep people subscribed for longer, of course.
Many fans have questioned why this Hawkeye spin-off is even happening, with the prevailing theory being that Marvel Studios just wants to get it on the streamer and out of the way. However, it now sounds like it will be a crucial lead-in for Daredevil: Born Again.
As you can see below, Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin will be Echo's big bad, with the plan being for Maya Lopez to send him packing by the time this six-episode series ends.
However, when Fisk returns to New York City and his criminal empire, the stage is set for the villain to run for Mayor. That's obviously going to be disastrous for the Big Apple's street-level superheroes, including the Man Without Fear.
We'd hazard a guess that all this will result in Echo appearing in Daredevil: Born Again but, as of now, nothing has been confirmed on that front.
The origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox), whose ruthless behaviour in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.
As noted, all episodes of Echo will premiere on Disney+ on November 29.
