THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Merchandise Reveals A New Look At The Titular Heroes

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was originally scheduled to debut on Disney+ last month, but some newly surfaced merchandise reveals a fresh look at both the delayed show's titular characters...

Had COVID-19 not forced shooting to come to a halt, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier would have debuted on Disney+ last month and, by now, we probably would have seen at least a few episodes. Unfortunately, no new premiere date has since been set, but merchandise for the highly anticipated team-up is already finding its way into stores.

As you can see, it doesn't reveal much, but there's a great shot of the two heroes standing side-by-side, as well as silhouetted version of the heroes in front of Captain America's shield.

In other news, The Direct is claiming to have obtained a production document confirming that the plan is for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to resume production in Atlanta early this month. As a result, cameras should star rolling in the coming days, and we can only hope that puts the Disney+ series back on track for a 2020 debut (it's been too long since new Marvel Studios content).

At this point, we haven't seen more than an official promo poster, a few seconds of footage during the Super Bowl, and maybe one or two stills from the series. However, once Marvel Studios has a premiere date in mind, you have to believe the marketing campaign will heat up in a major way.

Nice to see Falcon get a real super suit

Bucky’s.......honestly his best look was his Winter Soldier suit, this isnt bad but its like they keep trying to improve the same design when they already had the perfect suit.

Sadly I don't think there's any way this is coming out in 2020. They might end up pushing Black Widow too which means no new MCU content this year (not counting AoS).

@ChrisRed - My guess this is released once Black Widow is, and neither am I optimistic about a 2020 release

I'm excited for all those shows, and sure they will be something special... but it's going to be hard to create this volume of content and not go wrong somewhere, ala Iron Fist. Just hope they don't stretch themselves too thin. I want these guys in a movie again sometime too please!

@RealTurner - Iron Fist and Inhumans. As much as I can look past some of the huge flaws in Iron Fists theres no excuses for Inhumans.

@RealTurner - Marvel's law of averages has been pretty solid in the movies. 20+ films and the worst they've made are a handful of mediocre movies, most of them with still a good sequence or introducing some great new character or dynamic.

I'm wary that TV will be harder (and the names in charge of these shows tend to be more or less Marvel insiders and TV level folks rather than established reliable names like Star Wars had in Favreau and Filoni). There's always a chance something thuds. But sometimes to have to have pour your sins on a sacrificial goat just to work out some kinks.

Not a fan of that T-shirt design but I'd probably buy a bad ass Zemo shirt.
