THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Reportedly Heading To Prague...Will We Visit Zemo's Ancestral Home?

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier arrives on Disney+ this August, and a new report points to us potentially getting to delve into Baron Zemo's (Daniel Bruhl) past. Find out more details after the jump!

According to the @FFilmu Twitter account (via Murphy's Multiverse), The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will soon be heading to Prague to shoot scenes for the upcoming Disney+ TV series.

Those are reportedly going to be taking place in Ploskovice Castle, a very regal location which the site speculates could be used to double for Baron Zemo's ancestral home. Remember, in the comic books, the "Baron Zemo" mantle is one that was passed down to him from the ancestor who battled Captain America and Bucky during World War II, so the MCU could give him a similar legacy.

That's just speculation for now, of course, and movie magic means this site could be used to double for pretty much anywhere (even some sort of manor on the island of Madripoor, for example).

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier debuts on Disney's streaming service this August, so production must be nearing its end now. However, with all eight episodes set to be released on a weekly basis, Marvel Studios still has plenty of time to put the finishing touches or the series.

Zemo's role in the show following his debut in Captain America: Civil War is something of a mystery, but rumour has it that he'll be pulling John Walker's strings, and we know he'll suit up in that comic accurate mask. Throw in those rumours about the Thunderbolts, and there could be big plans for the villain in this shared world moving forward.

What do you guys think?

@RageDriver2401 - (Don't take anything I'm about to say as an insult or even a pointed criticism, really.) It's garish and over-gilded in a very intentional way, and that's fine, but I'm most distracted by the period fashion influences I'm seeing (or at least I think I am).

For example, the lines on the hip/groin region look inspired by 80's era cuts of exercise clothes and swimsuits that go up over the hip.

And I don't dislike the impulse, exactly, but there's a sort of chocolate and cheese aspect to the costume. It wants to be "The Iliad by way of Miami Vice" and I'm... just not sure I'm totally onboard.

Why do I get the feeling Zemo lied about his Sokovian heritage?

Was nervous for a second, thought this was a "has halted production" post

As far as the Thunderbolts go, I’m thinking it's
Zemo
Taskmaster
Wonder Man
Grim Reaper
Abomination
Andres von Strucker aka Swordsman who is going under an alias and his true identity is only known by Zemo
Ghost

Zemo should take up a patriotic costume like Citizen V
Abomination should have to be killed by his own team sparking Ross to feel he should try it out in the sequel
Wonder Man should be KIA

Keep Andrea von Strucker off the team and hidden as she would be off rebuilding Hydra
