THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER: Sam Wilson's Captain America Costume Has Now LEAKED Online

This is an unexpected treat; as WandaVision premieres on Disney+, an action figure and some promo art reveals Sam Wilson as Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier prior to its March debut!

By Nighthawk01 - Jan 15, 2021 01:01 AM EST

At the end of Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers handed his shield over to Sam Wilson along with the mantle of Captain America. It's no secret that The Falcon doesn't immediately take on that role in the MCU, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will kick off with John Walker wielding the shield.

The fact that Sam does eventually become the new Cap is perhaps Marvel Studios's worst kept secret right now, and after a number of prior leaks, an action figure from the popular "Titan Hero Series" range offers our first proper look at what Anthony Mackie will look like suited up as this Avenger.

Few changes have been made to this costume from the comics, and it's not remotely difficult to picture this fitting into the aesthetic of the MCU. The red, white, and blue wings look pretty badass, and this figure makes it clear that this shared world will soon have a very different Captain America. Sam clearly isn't leaving his roots as Falcon behind, but is still representing what Steve Rogers stood for.

Yesterday, it was reported that Chris Evans may be returning to the MCU, so there's now a strong chance we'll see Steve show up in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to help his friends in any way he can.

Wow, they really went for it.

Seeing all the white that Sam wears in this show, I really wish we got it sooner on his previous costumes. The grey was too dull.

@Kurne - I want them to go make the colors pop from now on. The muted color tones are getting played out. I hope they go for a better color scheme for the Guardians as well. I'm tired of that emotionless burgundy.

@SonOfAGif - ahh man I really wish Gunn didn't splash Star-Lord's main costume with red. It was the last color another MCU lead needed, it kind of hurts my eyes looking at all the movie covers down a single line on the Disney+ page lol. Should have gone blue/navy.

@Kurne - I want them to have the matching Navy and red uniforms like Rocket had in Endgame.

Not a bad adaption from the comics at all.

Not bad. Wonder how he will use the shield, doesn't have super strength to throw it. (Bucky seemed to have a bit of trouble lifting it on the train in The First Avenger)

Only thing I can think of is having it strapped to his back with some kind of ejection thing like those old pog shooters

@dracula - Probably magnetic like Cap had for Age of Ultron.

@SonOfAGif - that explains how he could carry it but how is he going to throw it, like I said if there is some kind of shooting mechanism on his back, he could use it when he is flying but really without the strength to properly use it, seems like the shield would be useless
