THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Set Video Shows U.S. Agent Battling An Unknown Foe

Shooting has resumed on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Atlanta, Georgia, and a new set video shows Wyatt Russell's U.S. Agent in action and wielding Captain America's shield. Check it out...

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier has resumed shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and it appears as if Wyatt Russell is back in action as John Walker/U.S. Agent. As you can see, he's wielding Captain America's shield (likely because he's the government's top choice to take over from Steve Rogers).

This scene looks extremely similar to one shot back in March, so chances are some reshoots are taking place or additional sequences are being added to the Disney+ series.

There have been conflicting reports about how much work is left to be done on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but we've heard that an entire subplot has been removed pertaining to some sort of airborne virus; as you might expect, that isn't necessarily overly appropriate in this COVID-19 era. Regardless, the hope is that the show will still debut on the streaming service in 2020.

U.S. Agent certainly looks pretty badass in action, and with it seemingly inevitable that The Falcon will be the new Captain America by the time all is said and done, we don't know what the future holds in store for John Walker after his time with the shield ends. Hopefully, he can stick around in some way.

With Mando S2 running until the end of December, there’s no way Disney is going to release another “hot ticket” show like this until after Mando has finished. This will debut in 2021. It doesn’t make business sense to air it before.

@globaltravels - Was thinking the same thing. On top of that, I don't think they will kick off Phase 4 with a Disney+ show either.

My guess is Black Widow moves to february, and only after that we might see this show or WandaVision

I hope the rumours of removing a virus subplot are false. I want this to be released as it was always intended. Not some cut-together muddle. Some people are saying that it might have been the madbomb but the madbomb doesn't have to be a virus. It can an electromagnetic wave or something like that (not a scientist clearly).

@TheManWithoutFear - if the rumors are true, then id rather see it delayed instead of altered

@TheManWithoutFear - I watched Counterpart after Covid, and it's pretty [frick]ing depressing. Even if new media tries to avoid the topic, there's still lots of opportunities to be reminded of it in other shows and movies and books.

It depends how it plays out, I guess. If you play it seriously as a real threat to society that can be addressed and conquered by good science, then I think it's fine. But the sensationalist disaster porn viruses are more troubling.

I don't mind if they change the virus subplot, never was a fan of society destroying stakes anyway. Although I still think it would make sense for the subplot to be there, since there was also the employer of Crossbones in Civil War who wanted a virus
