HAWKEYE: Clint Barton's Past Catches Up To Him In The First Trailer And Poster For The Disney+ Series

Marvel Studios has dropped the first trailer and poster for Hawkeye, and Clint Barton finds himself with an unexpected new partner as his past - in the form of Ronin - finally starts to catch up with him!

Clint Barton lost his entire family when Thanos wiped out half the universe, and that led to him becoming Ronin. The Punisher-like vigilante tore his way through the criminal underworld, taking out the evildoers who managed to survive while his wife and children did not. Hawkeye is going to tackle that head-on, though, something that's evident from this awesome first trailer.

Hawkeye is just trying to enjoy the holidays with his kids, but when a new Ronin emerges, the archer is forced back into action...and it's then he meets Kate Bishop.

The show looks like a lot of fun, and that Christmas setting should help give Hawkeye a unique feel. The last time we spent the holidays in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was 2013's Iron Man 3, and that was only because filmmaker Shane Black tends to set his movies during the Christmas period.

There aren't too many big surprises in this sneak peek, but "Rogers: The Musical?" Sign us up!

"Set in post-blip New York City, former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero," reads the synopsis. "The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Starring Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Hawkeye also features Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Helmed by Rhys Thomas and directing duo Bert and Bertie, Hawkeye debuts exclusively on Disney+ on November 24, 2021.
