TV Trailer For Marvel's INHUMANS Features Plenty Of New Footage Of The Royal Family In Action

Marvel's Inhumans will finally premiere on ABC this Friday, and a brand new trailer has been released featuring plenty of never before seen footage. Have a look, and let us know what you think...

Various versions of Inhumans have been in the works for years now but when you imagined what form the project might take, did you ever imagine Black Bolt shopping for clothes in Hawaii? Marvel's TV department clearly did as that's just one of many cringe-worthy scenes in this new trailer for the series which also shows Medusa sobbing over her CGI hair and plenty of horribly cheap looking sets/effects.

Inhumans debuted on IMAX screens earlier this month and will finally premiere - with additional footage - on ABC this Friday. The marketing campaign for the show has completely stalled so it will be interesting finding out how the show winds up performing in terms of ratings (not good, probably).

The rest of Inhumans has already been shot so it's too late for Marvel to fix the series but there is a chance it could improve as it goes on. Either way, a second season definitely looks unlikely and with Ike Perlmutter's passion project - designed to hurt the X-Men and Fantastic Four - now a flop both in live-action and comics, chances are Black Bolt and company will fade into obscurity moving forward.

Medusa using her hair to grab and punch people is so redundant since it's only long enough to reach out to arms length anyway.

@Boyle360 - maybe she got weak arms

I know if I had hair like that I'd skip arm day.

@YESCipher - the show looks like a show that is airing on ABC...im really confused on what EVERYBODY was expecting from this. It looks OK for what it is. I don't watch anything on ABC because most of their shows are terrible anyway or just plain out don't interest me.

I don’t HATE this, but it all looks like from the same two episodes and I feel it would do them a lot of good to show more from later in the season to give a general idea of where the show wants to go as a story. The acting looks stiff as [frick] but I watch and enjoy trash tv so that won’t bother me, and the effects aren’t great but again, it’s TV so I can accept it. I just want to see MORE of what they have.

Is it crazy to say that, besides the HORRIBLE acting, this didn't make it look all that bad......?

Asking for a friend.

@SKetCH - Did you see the IMAX showing? It is all that...bad.

@SKetCH - I saw the IMAX screening and it's not that bad. The biggest issue is the limited budget, which forces them to write the story to limit the use of their powers. But it's not as bad as Iron Fist or Defenders. So that's something.

@Pigdango - I'm going to watch it, not like it will cost me extra to do so. I am disappointed that the budget didn't force them to be creative, it forced them to put square pegs into round holes. The beauty of a show like Legion is that they make its weaknesses it's strength. This Buck guy is the problem, I blame all of this on the director. They should have tried to get someone with a vision instead of someone willing to do whatever for a small amount of money.

@Pigdango - the director obviously knows how to make a generic television show, he "makes it work," that's not what people have to come to expect from Marvel, add to the fact that media is already over saturated with super hero content. It's getting to the point where fin you're going the super hero route it really needs to be done with grace because people are quick to reject it, we have many to choose from.

I gave up on Shield, I'll watch this just because the show has a few favorite characters for me. Just seems the characters suffered the most, Attilan even

@baldowl - I did. And I didn't think it was all that bad, IMO. Lots of potential. Time to get better. AOS was given time in face of its haters. Look at it now.
But wgatever. Imax gave me enough to watch the series through.
I am used to programmes recently being cancelled after a cliff hanger so kind if numb to that now.

@thekabsin - Well without getting into any spoilers, let me break each character down:

Black Bolt - Hated him going in. Didn't like that he wasn't wearing his mask, and his costume looked like an X-Men costume. In other words, terrible. His face also looked like he was holding in a fart. However, the actor is terrific, and Black Bolt is the best character in the first two episodes. Aside from his costume, I don't know how they could have gotten him any "righter." And let's face it - his comic costume isn't that great to begin with.

Medusa - Hated her going in. Costume looked like a 90's TV movie get up, wig looked terrible, hair effects looked silly. Not a lot of that changes from what I watched. It's not a spoiler to say they shave her head to cut back on special effects costs, which is...you know, it doesn't work. I can't defend that decision. But the actress does a decent job.

Crystal - Loved her going in. Her costume was the most comic accurate, and the actress looks gorgeous, young and naive - the way Crystal was portrayed for most of her comic book history. And of course...she was the worst part of the show. They stripped about 90% of her powers. She can impact tiny objects, but that's about it. They also sideline her for the majority of the first two episodes in a clear money saving move. And the actress is terrible. I liked that they hired such a young actress, but...oof.

Karnac - Loved him going in. I thought he looked cool and I like Ken Leung. He's the most up and down. The most positive thing I can say is that his powers are on display throughout both episodes, but his performance is very inconsistent.

Gorgon - Didn't really have an opinion going in. They seemed to beef up his role and the actor does a nice job. The story takes all of the Inhumans in different directions and his is maybe the weirdest. I'd call him a highlight.

Lockjaw - Looks fantastic. Can't believe they went all in on him. But again - he is sidelined for most of the two episodes due to budget constraints.

Maximus - Unlike the comics, where they just say "he crazy", they did a nice job of actually giving him some motivation for taking control. However, the whole thing feels very rushed. I think a longer season and a slower build may have served Maximus and the story as a whole a lot better. It's not bad, just rushed.

Triton - the less said about him the better.

Black Bolt's expression just makes me laugh..hard.. XD

If this was an '80ties tv show it would actually look great.

Why couldn't Feige be more like Ned Stark and just raise this bastard-of Inhumans as his own? I can just imagine Loeb or someone from Marvel TV giving Inhumans to him in the first place like Lyanna handing Jon over [to Ned]. "Ike would kill them... You have to protect them. Promise me, Kevin."

"lol no take it back"

@Kurne - Wonder what the white walker army is in this scenario.

Kurne - 9/27/2017, 3:52 AM
@YESCipher - well if Jon = Inhumans, then the Long Night = 2017 and the shitstorm that Scott Buck has brought to Marvel TV, and White Walkers = critics.
