It seems Iron Fist's string of bad reviews weren't enough to keep people from getting glued to their Netflix devices, as Variety is reporting that the series had not only the biggest debut of 2017 so far, topping other Netflix series such as A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Variety also reports that the sereis took up the more of Netflix's traffic on average than Marvel shows of the past, clocking in at 14.6% of all streams, topping the second season of Daredevil (13.8%) and the first season of Luke Cage (12.8%).

This report follows a similar report by Inverse which tracked a number of different methods, such as social media (negative reactions not included), piracy rates and measured streaming usages. If these reports ring true, it seems like fans (and non-fans) can expect a renewal of Iron Fist for a second season in the coming months! What do you guys think? Are you excited at the prospect of the show getting a second shot, or do you think one season is enough? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
