The MCU Exchange spotted an intriguing Instagram post from actor Arleo Dordar that seems to suggest that he's nabbed a series regular role on Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist. Though there's no indication of which character he could be playing, he does gel pretty closely with the description that was sent out a while back for Davos, AKA Steel Serpent.

That reads: "25 – 30 yrs old, male, please submit Asian, East Indian, Pacific Islander, etc., handsome, effortlessly-powerful, an intelligent, thoughtful warrior."

In addition to his numerous acting credits, Dordar is an accomplished kickboxer, so that also bodes well in his favour.

Of course this is all speculation for now, but well worth keeping an eye on all the same. Iron Fist is sceduled to begin filming soon , and already has Finn Jones on board as Danny Rand, and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.

Looks like they're hiring lesser known actors/actresses. MCUExchange suggests it could be because Marvel may relocated budget money to VFX companies.

@marvelstudios - Or maybe those lesser known actors auditioned well?

@marvelstudios - Sometimes its good for TV shows to have unknowns, because you get to grow with the character, without having to be distracted by the actors previous work. Plus these Marvel characters are pretty much star making roles for actors.

@marcohtx - I agree. In AOS we got to see how Iain De Caestecker grew as an actor.
