I didn't like it as much as Daredevil, and in many ways I was disappointed with the very high expectations, but the last 6 episodes really came through and offered up much more of what I thought I was going to get from the beginning. It's main problem is that the pacing is ridiculously slow at times(honestly, this could've trimmed a couple of episodes), and narrative claustrophobia. I really, really liked the show though, the first 7 episodes didn't give me that impression, more of just good but really slow pace.

All in all, I still loved it, but disappointment can almost ruin my experiences despite how good it may be. Luckily, the show got good enough in its second half to overcome my initial disappointment. Oh, and Mike Colter is flippin fantastic as Luke Cage, that bar fight really showed his charm and effectively displayed his powers in such a cool way, makes me really excited for his series now. Krysten Ritter is for me the perfect Jessica, same goes for mike colter as Luke, and we are in universal agreement charlie cox is the definitive Matt Murdock, so due to inference I'm going to assume Iron Fist will be another fantastic casting addition.

@ScarletWarlock

It's funny how these things go, because I really enjoyed the first half of the season and didn't like the second half as much. ^^

I loved every part of it except the fact that Purple Man was turned into a lovestruck beta bitch boy stalker.

I mean he was always a sniveling coward in the comics, but he didn't care about anyone, and he was only a little bit psycho.

I imagine him as the ultimate playboy, who doesn't give a [frick] about anybody, and certainly not some stupid chick.

If it were up to me, Kilgrave would have a more traditional "take over the city"-style of goal. Jessica would run into him again post-rape with her PTSD and be terrified/obsessed with him, while Kilgrave, in his abundance of poosy, would barely remember her.

Jessica would then try to stop him and do something stupid, revealing her powers in the process, which makes Kilgrave remember her, cuz she's useful to him now. Then the show could continue as normal.

Purple Man is NOT a bitch. I was actually scared of him during the first few episodes, until they revealed HE was obsessed with her, and not the other way around... Bullshit.

That's just unrealistic, and it's probably done that way to satisfy the feminist imperative.
