Marvel Studios has lots of exciting films and TV shows heading our way next year, but Tom Hiddleston's return as the God of Mischief in Loki has to be at the top of many "most anticipated" lists.
A specific premiere date hasn't been revealed, but Loki is set to debut on Disney+ in May of 2021, and it features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. While Loki died in Avengers: Infinity War, this version is the one who managed to escape with the Tesseract in the sequel.
In the series, Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino,
Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer, so there's some stellar talent behind the camera, too.
Disney recently sent out a preview of its 2021 slate, and it featured the first official still from this show. This is a familiar shot from the trailer, of course, but presented here in high resolution. It's a kick-ass look at the villain, and no doubt a sign of things to come in the Disney+ series.
