LOKI: First Trailer For The Disney+ Series Sees The God Of Mischief Embark On A Time-Travelling Mission

Loki is clearly not going to be what we expected, as the first trailer for the Disney+ series reveals that the God of Mischief will embark on a unique mission at the behest of the Time Variance Authority.

Well, this is an unexpected surprise!

Marvel Studios shared the first trailer for Loki during Disney's Investor Day, and the God of Mischief's Disney+ TV series definitely isn't what we were expecting. Sent on a mission through time and space by the Time Variance Authority, the villainous God of Mischief who escaped his fate in Avengers: Endgame looks like he's having one heck of a time!

Travelling through history, it appears as if Loki even visits some sort of desolate future as we see a New York in ruins (with Avengers tower looking seriously worse for wear).

Chances are this will all factor into whatever Marvel Studios has planned with the Multiverse, but there are some crazy visuals here, and that last shot of Loki jumping from a plane raises a lot of questions. This looks seriously awesome, though, and based on some of what Loki says here, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility that we'll end up seeing Thor and Heimdall.

Which versions of those characters we'll meet remains to be seen, however! Oh, and the big news here is that the show is coming to the streaming service next May!

Check out the first trailer for Loki below:

Other than the first real looks of shows we already knew about, I’m super disappointed so far. Secret Invasion as a show? Ironheart already - as a show? Baby Groot? Hm

@ThorArms -

I don't get it. What's the problem? Can you elaborate?

You know these shows will be coming out over the course of three or four years and not all at once, right?

@ThorArms - You do realize these shows are more like 8-10 hour long movies right?

@ThorArms - It's not like the shows are going to be any less cinematic than the movies. At this point, the only difference is length, which is why, if anything, you should want Secret Invasion as a series.

@aresww3 - so your a DCEU fan? If not, what the hell you doing on this site?

@Marveladdict - I like some MCU films, but the general tone and creative direction of the first few phases were not to my taste. I'm more than happy for them to change my mind.

I like most DCEU films apart from Man Of Steel and Justice League. The rest I enjoyed. However I think DC has dropped the ball alot.

@Himura - I have read several times that these shows will be six one-hour episodes each, except for "What If?..." and maybe on other.

@LSHF - even still, my point still stands. They’re all just movies taken place over several episodes instead of one movie.

@JamesPunn - First one was good, but tarnished by the character development in the lacklustre sequel. In both cases, anyway, Watts has proven himself to be a rather bland director. Not as bland as Peyton Reed, but bland.
