Mobius M. Mobius is one of those characters from the comic books that no one really cared about before they were brought into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Owen Wilson certainly managed to make the Time Variance Authority agent his own in Loki, leaving fans fully invested both in his story and the relationship he quickly developed with Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief.
In the season finale, Mobius watched on as the Sacred Timeline split and restored the Multiverse. Meanwhile, Loki ended up in a reality where Kang the Conqueror ruled the TVA with a Mobius who had no idea who he is. With that, it looks like Wilson will get to explore his character's Variants!
Talking to Wired, the actor confirmed what we pretty much already knew: he'll return for season 2. "Is Owen Wilson coming back to Loki? Um...yes," Wilson responded. "He is coming back to Loki, and I think we're going to begin filming that pretty soon. I had a great time working on Loki. I really enjoyed Tom Hiddleston and all the people on that [show]."
In a separate interview with Pop Culture, Gugu Mbatha-Raw talked more about her return as Judge Renslayer. "You know I can't say anything about Loki. The Marvel police will come along and just take me away. But no, I'm excited that it's happening, and I really love my character. I think she's unexpected and complex. And so, I'm excited to go to some deeper, darker places with her."
We're hoping that Mobius and Renslayer will be reunited, especially after she betrayed him. There's definitely more story to be told there, and Wilson proved himself a standout in the first season primarily down to the way he made us buy into his character's dynamic with both the Judge and Loki.
Loki will likely return to Disney+ sometime in 2023 or 2024.
