LOKI: The Countdown Begins On An Intriguing New Poster For Tom Hiddleston's Disney+ Series

Marvel Studios has shared a new poster for Loki ahead of its arrival on Disney+ next month.

As you can see, the God of Mischief is front and centre, and surrounded by the members of the Time Variance Authority. That weird cartoon clock appears to be the TVA's mascot, and that image of Loki in his Asgardian gear is definitely interesting (it may also tease this version's villainous nature).

There aren't really any major reveals beyond that, but this has definitely helped increase our excitement for the show. With any luck, the debut of this poster will be followed by another trailer.

A recently released synopsis revealed that the villain will be "forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat." We still don't know what that greater threat is, but alternate versions of Loki seem likely.

In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 9th, 2021.

Falcon and the winter soldier was admittedly disappointing (though solid) but I’ve got high hopes for this one

@MrDandy - Agreed in all counts…

FaTWS didn’t really land for me either…Wasn’t solid in the ending of WV either…Regardless, I have high hopes that Loki will finally be the series that gets me…Third times the charm…

@vegetaray - I really enjoyed WandaVision for the most part. Finale was a little rocky but still some great moments. WandaVision just felt more narrative coherent and did great character work with Wanda and Vision

@MrDandy - for me it didn't surpass my expectations, but didn't dissappoint either. Thought it was pretty consistent in quality throughout

... I'm intrigued by that weirdly Merry Melodies-esque cartoon clock in the corner.

@Reeds2Much - Reminds me of Cappy from Fallout 4…

@Reeds2Much - a cartoonverse.

@Reeds2Much - The cartoon clock appears in video that Loki watches. A video that shows what TVA is. He is similar to Mister DNA.

@Repian - That's what I get for only watching first trailers! TVA's Mascot it is.

@Reeds2Much - He's the official mascot of the TVA like Facebones is for Dethklok.

It's going to be fun to see Loki put in his place (and watch him get out of it) and put back in his place (and watch him get out of it), and so on...

So who's that on the left? Feels like they don't had enough people to put on the poster

I swear these posters are starting to look interchangeable. Circular background, mishmash of characters, two or more images of the protagonist.

Show looks great but this poster is big yikes.

I was really hoping we'd get a poster with all the Lokis on it but I understand they have to do the stock one first, and then hopefully we'll get a midseason poster once they've gotten some reveals out of the way

Love how obscure this series is coming off as.
