Thanks to Total Film, we have a new look at Tom Hiddleston as Loki's title character, and the villain's usual Asgardian attire has been put to one side for his Time Variance Authority uniform.
Under threat of deletion, it seems that mysterious organisation is able to force the God of Mischief to work for them and fix the timeline he broke by escaping with the Tesseract. Of course, Loki being Loki, he's bound to have something planned, especially as we're talking about a version of the character who has missed the events of Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity War, and was never redeemed.
Exploring that side of things promises to be fascinating, and there are lot of different places Marvel Studios can now take Loki as he embarks on what sounds like a crazy trip through the Multiverse.
In Loki, the imperious God of Mischief, who, after absconding with the Tesseract, is a fish-out-of-water when he lands in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer. Recently, we learned the show will premiere on Disney+ on June 9th, 2021.
