Loki season 2 set photos revealed that part of the series will revolve around a McDonald's restaurant in the 1970s, with Sylvie working there after killing He Who Remains.
The Variant presumably just wants a normal life now she's no longer being hunted by the TVA, and the fast food chain has started teasing a collaboration with the Marvel Studios TV series.
In a clip shared on Twitter, we see a number of McDonald's references across film and TV, with the final shot one from Loki showing the two God of Mischief Variants coming face-to-face inside one of the iconic restaurants. A follow-up Tweet (do we need to start calling them X's?) saw McDonald's promise a big reveal on August 14.
However, one eager employee has taken to TikTok to reveal that they'll soon have Sweet and Sour sauce with Loki branding which, presumably, plays a key role in the upcoming Disney+ TV series.
There might be more to this team-up than that, of course, but it's a fun marketing tactic for a series Marvel Studios is clearly taking seriously. After all, we find it hard to believe Loki season 2 will be anything less than a vital part of the Multiverse Saga.
Loki season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. The Head Writer is Eric Martin.
Loki season 2 begins streaming on October 6, exclusively on Disney+.
