The first season of Luke Cage garnered a lot of attention for its use of music within the show, as it included several fantastic musical guests. The show’s musical influences could even be seen in the episode titles for Season 1 which were all named after Gang Starr tracks.

Now, just like the series’ initial outing, the second season of Luke Cage will also draw upon the works of a music duo for the titles of its thirteen episodes. However, instead of Gang Starr, they will be looking to the works Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

In a recent Twitter post, Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker revealed the titles for all thirteen episodes. The episode names include the likes of “Soul Brother #1” and “The Creator.”

Aside from continuing this creative decision from the first season, Coker also has a number of impressive musical guests set to appear in Season 2, which will hopefully live up to past performances on the show.



After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain."

Man I hope this Season is good. Luke Cage is the weakest in the series. I thoroughly did not like it, i rather watch Ironfist again before watching Season 1 Luke Cage again. For me, it really felt like a bunch of white dudes, trying to make a very black show. They spent 80% of the time just talking in tropes. Like someone was like
"lets address no father families and a generation raised by their mothers in the ghetto"
"Sure, lets put in 2 lines about that! Anything else???"
"Yeah... let's talk about the black experience in dealing with the police".


Sure... all good things, but put them in organically. Also the budget for this show seems to be peanuts. Diamondback's outfit, no cgi, nothing really fantastic. Perlmutters stink was all over it.

Yesssssss!!!! So glad this is coming back just as other shows wrap up.

Still didn't watch the last 4 episodes of JJ and that's RARE... I didn't even do that with the Defenders.

Power coming back in July. Preacher. Shades of Blue. Ready for that Summer line up!

People are overly critical of the Netflix shows, at least to me but everyone is entitled to their opinions. I'm excited to see Luke get whooped by bushmaster and have to learn how to unlock his chi.

Still haven't finished season 1,I've got 1 episode left.A matter of fact I'm a bit behind I haven't seen Iron Fist,The Defenders,The Punisher or Jessica Jones season 2.
