Mike Colter's portrayal of Luke Cage will debut later this week in Marvel's Jessica Jones series, but it appears the Men In Black 3 actor is still very much in the middle of filming his standalone Marvel Netflix series. And now some photos have surfaced from the New York City set and they capture the Power Man himself looking pretty dapper in a suit as walk he walks the streets of Harlem. Check out the photos below, and be sure to see Colter as Luke Cage in the Jessica Jones series which starts streaming on Netflix November 20, and look for the Hero for Hire going solo next year.

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city--forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Starring Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Mahershala Ali (Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple ), Simone Missick (Misty Knight ), Theo Rossi (Alvarez), and Alfre Woodard (Mariah Dillard), Marvel's Luke Cage is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix, and will premiere in 2016 with Cheo Hodari Coker as showrunner. He's wearing a skinny tie, @blackandyellow should be mad about that.

I think he is going to be a very classy man. I think he will try to stay out of the fights in JJ, but ultimately understand he needs to help, and in Luke Cage he will just be more like Daredevil, and just fight bad guys to protect his city (or neighborhood?)

His jacket's to tight, need to get a slightly bigger one. Makes him look like he was stuffed into a sock.

And he needs slightly longer sleeves. Where'd he get this suit, H&M?

Not to mention he's got a checkered tie on a patterned shirt, takes any attention he'd want away from his tie. Needs either a solid color or checkered tie on a WHITE shirt. If he wanted a patterned shirt, he'd need to wear a SOLID colored tie.

Alright, I'm done.

And wearing such a slim tie with a fat collar is off-putting. He'd need a thick tie like one of the one's pictured below to really bring it together.

Now I'm done.

@kyos

I have that shirt JJ is wearing in red, and you know...in mens (i hope).

Cage is looking angry and intimidating in those pics. I'd run from him even if he didn't have super powers, lol.

Looks like if he accidentally flexed the suit would rip apart Hulk style.

So he does have his powers during the events of JJ right? Also are they just introducing Iron Fist in Cages stand-alone show?

So this is where all the black people in the MCU have been hanging out.

And here I just thought the studio was practicing tokenism.

Suit jacket slightly too tight, needs better tailor. Or a tailor.

Better tie needed too.

Otherwise, he's looking the part for the most part!

AND do I spy a bullet hole?

@Raccoon

(Mackie's)Falcon = Token

Luke Cage = The Power Man

(though if we wanted to discuss him being relegated to television as an expression of tokenism or undervaluing of characters, we could)
