Sweet Christmas!

Netflix has announced the premiere date for Luke Cage Season 2 via the brief teaser promo below. Mike Colter will return as Harlem's protector on June 22!

The footage doesn't offer up any hints about the plot of feature a first look at any new characters, but we do get a voice-over from the Power Man himself as he runs through the various ways he can't be hurt. There are also some cool shots of Cage in action as he continues to clean up the streets.

Most fans feel that the first season started off well but took a pretty major dip in quality during the final 5 or 6 episodes, so hopefully we get a more consistent sophomore outing for Luke Cage.

Check out the promo below along with some new stills, and let us know what you think in the usual place.

I can already sense someone making a gif out of this by replacing the word Luke Cage with Marvel Studios or Feige

Really excited for season 2. Season 1 had a great first half and lackluster second half but it still built a solid foundation moving forward.

Can't wait to see these two share the screen again, one of the best parts of Defenders. Heroes for Hire for the win!!

@HeavyMetal4Life - And hey, if Iron Fist S2 crashes and burns Danny can hitch a ride on Luke's back / segue nicely into a Heroes for Hire show!

@CanadaMan - that's very true! Though I do have faith in IF S2 being leagues above the first season.
