Ms. Marvel has arrived, and Just Jared has just shared a series of photos from the set of the upcoming Marvel Studios series, featuring our first look at star Iman Vellani in full costume as the title character Kamala Khan.
While we first saw Vellani suit up in what appeared to be a homemade Captain Marvel costume back in November, this is our first look at her actual comic-inspired outfit which understandably gets its own MCU twist. This is presumably the costume she'll wear when she returns in Captain Marvel 2 in November 2022.
Production on the six-episode series is still ongoing, but it's expected to wrap relatively soon. The directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon have all been confirmed as directors on the project.
With Vellani as the headliner, the supporting cast consists of Aramis Knight as Kareem/Red Dagger, Saagar Shaikh as Amir Khan, Rish Shah as Kamran, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Laith Nakli as Sheikh Abdullah, Travina Springer as Tyesha Hillman, and Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer.
Additionally, Azhar Usman, Nimra Bucha, Randy Havens, Alysia Reiner, Anjali Bhimani, Alyy Khan, Samina Ahmad, and Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar have been cast in undisclosed roles.
Ms. Marvel is tentatively scheduled to launch, exclusively on Disney+, in Late 2021.
