Funko Pop listings have often revealed spoilers for upcoming movies and TV shows, but is that the case with Ms. Marvel? As you can see below, there will be at least five Pops based on the Disney+ series, with Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, Kamala Khan (Halloween), Ms. Marvel w/Power, and Captain Marvel.
We know Kamala will cosplay as Captain Marvel in the series, but "Kamala Khan (Halloween)" sounds like it could be that Pop. We're also pretty sure that if "Captain Marvel" was referring to the title character, her name would be included somehow. With Ms. Marvel set to be part of The Marvels movie, Carol Danvers showing up at some point during this series makes perfect sense.
Ultimately, we'll have to wait and see. For the longest time, there were rumblings about Doctor Strange appearing in WandaVision, and that never happened (we'd later learn COVID changed Marvel Studios' plans). Something tells us there's a stronger chance we'll see Captain Marvel in Ms. Marvel, though, especially with that team-up between those two and Monica Rambeau on the horizon.
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
