Yesterday's episode of Ms. Marvel saw Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan leap into action suited up in her Captain Marvel cosplay from AvengerCon. We've no doubt that her actual costume will debut sooner rather than later, but some official stills from "Crushed" show a closer look at this makeshift outfit (and it's pretty damn cool).
Like her comic book counterpart, Ms. Marvel loves Carol Danvers, so it only makes sense for her MCU adventures to start by having her decked out in a suit just like hers.
Of course, it's not just Kamala who is a fangirl. Talking to Marvel.com, Saagar Shaikh (Aamir Khan) recalled Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige chastising Vellani on set for watching WandaVision...on her cell phone. "Kevin Feige got mad at her for watching WandaVision on her phone," he recalls. "He's like, 'They're not made for phones! Watch it on TV!'"
Zenobia Shroff (Muneeba Khan), meanwhile, has a different recollection and recalls Vellani's excitement watching the series. "WandaVision had come out, and [while she was watching] she said 'What?' out loud and she fell to the floor because she was so excited about what she had just seen," the actor recalls. "I don't know what it was. I didn't want to interrupt her viewing. But yeah, she's very excited. She's a fangirl."
The response to the show has so far been overwhelmingly positive and Vellani has received widespread acclaim. In our review, we concluded by saying, "Iman Vellani establishes herself as an immense talent in Ms. Marvel, a culturally rich and diverse new entry into the MCU that adds some incredible new characters and explores unexpected sides of this world. Prepare to meet your new favourite superhero."

Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?
Joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the show are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
