From being your ordinary, hardworking high-schooler from Jersey City, to assisting Captain Marvel fending off a Kree attack on another world, Kamala Khan is definitely climbing up the latters of success as a recognized Young Avenger in the MCU.
After a successful debut in her own stand-alone Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, which is also the highest ranked Marvel Disney+ series among Marvel Studio's other productions, there is no doubt we will be seeing a lot more of Kamala Khan in future MCU installments.
Fans can expect to see the next of Ms. Marvel in the upcoming The Marvels film, which releases in Fall of this year, and if the trailers have been any indication of what is to come, it is that Kamala Khan is more than enough of a reason to go see the film in theaters.
Ms. Marvel Producer, Sana Amanat, spoke on the potential of fans seeing Ms. Marvel post The Marvels, that being in the highly-demanded Season 2 of her series. Amanat spoke at the Woman of Marvel Panel at Comic-Con this year, where she mentioned the likelihood of Marvel Studio's greenlighting a second season:
”It’s great to see more demand. You know, complain. I’m happy to have you guys complain to [Marvel Studios President] Kevin [Feige], let’s get a Season 2.”
Ms. Marvel star, Iman Vellani, has spoke out on how “[Marvel doesn’t] tell her anything," but, audiences will be sure to have a “very fun time,” with the character moving forward post The Marvels, as her character is a “fully formed superhero” by the end of the film.
Because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA & WGA Strike, the possibility of there ever having been plans for a Ms. Marvel Season 2 could have been shelved, as, like many other studio's are currently doing, waiting until the strike concludes to continue their scheduling for future projects.
Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. However, unintended consequences see her shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with two other superheroes to form The Marvels.
The Marvels releases in theaters on November 10th, 2023.
