Kamala Khan visited her grandmother in Karachi during yesterday's episode of Ms. Marvel, leading to even more revelations about the source of her newfound powers.
While we still don't know whether the hero has any ties to the Inhumans (or even whether those aliens will make their MCU debut), it would be a missed opportunity to not do something that sets the stage for them to appear. After all, Anson Mount's appearance as a Black Bolt Variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness proved to be a hit with fans!
Regardless, while learning more about the ClanDestine and the Noor Dimension, Kamala found herself embarking on her first team-up after meeting the heroic Red Dagger. He's a badass fighter, but with those villains on the loose (breaking out of prison and getting to Pakistan was surprisingly easy for them), more trouble is on the horizon.
The episode ended with Kamala somehow transported back in time, and it's there we're guessing more will be revealed about her past. Comic book fans will also know that the Partition was a key moment in Ms. Marvel's history, so we're curious to see how it's explored in the MCU.
Check out these new Ms. Marvel stills below:
Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?
