Marvel Studios has released another Secret Invasion clip, this time featuring a tense and surprisingly uncomfortable conversation between former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury and his right-hand woman, Maria Hill.
These two were never really allies in the comic books and when Maria did eventually take charge of S.H.I.E.L.D., it was as an antagonist. That's not the route the MCU has gone down, but it's allowed for moments like this one where Nick's protégé questions whether he's ready for their latest mission.
She points out that he's largely been M.I.A. since the events of Avengers: Endgame and seems to have lost his edge somewhere along the way. That would explain why he sent Talos to take his place in Spider-Man: Far From Home, anyway.
As we first told you yesterday, the social media embargo for the series lifts at 9pm PT tonight with reviews following on June 14 at 9am PT. You'll want to make sure you check back here then for our verdict.
