SECRET INVASION Finale Promo And Poster Released; Closer Look At [SPOILER] Find Its Way Online

The Secret Invasion finale arrived on Disney+ earlier today and the response from fans has definitely been mixed.

Despite making fun of the MCU's clichéd final acts in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law finale, this series followed the expected path and delivered little in the way of surprises. That's surprising with The Marvels fast approaching but might be an indication of how Marvel Studios' connectivity has been lost in the Multiverse Saga.

Regardless, we're sure many of you are excited to see how this story ends and, before we get into spoilers, we have a newly released poster and TV spot for you to take a look at.

In those, Secret Invasion's leads are put front and centre along with a few of the biggest moments from "Home."

Check out the new poster and promo below.

We've talked a lot about the finale's Super-Skrulls today. However, if you'd like to take a closer look at them, then we have a clip from the final battle showing Gi'ah and Gravik making use of all those superpowers.

You can read more about those by clicking here.

While this necessarily isn't the Super-Skrull from the comics who makes use of the Fantastic Four's powers, we're sure you'll still appreciate how Secret Invasion paid homage to him...

@PlusUltra - Jumping in here to mention something no one has brought up. Why aren't all those Skrull prisoners dead from radiation? They've been soaking it up in that reactor hot zone for months. The show itself prioritized fake Fury needing his iodide pills to survive. Gravik made a point of it. They been giving those sleeping humans iodide this whole time? Never mentioned. C'mon guys, do better. This coming from a guy who gives his movies and TV shows alot of latitude.

@bobevanz - I actually never read the Secret Invasion comic, but that super-skrull thing with all those powers in one character is just stupid, looks shit and sets another bad precedent for the overall logic of the MCU.

@Usernametaken - it’s a lot cooler and makes more sense when it’s the fantastic fours powers all in one IMO but yeah he def still would probs look goofy in an RL version
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 7/26/2023, 4:15 PM
@Usernametaken - That was from Fantastic Four. In that book he has all their powers, because it's their book. So the Super Skrull in the MCU has every power in the MCU.

@bobevanz -
An evil Super Skrull temporarily having all the powers of the Fantastic Four forcing the Fantastic Four to work together and defeat someone who effectively combines all their powers is an interesting concept that could be handled well.

What we see here though is pure garbage, neither of these are interesting characters and now we have OP woman who has the powers of every MCU hero and villain - you can't possibly top that. She's part Thanos FFS.

Also, you had She-Hulk mocking this very style of ending to a show because it's formulaic and expected and then they do it anyway.

@ObserverIO - @Ryos
thanks for the infos guys, comics have the benefit of having a kind of self contained realities from series to series.

The MCU doesn't have that luxury because of how it was set up as a cohesive universe, so when something happens in the MCU you can't unring that bell or pretend it never happened.

And the writers of Phase 4 really haven't been careful with that at all, but this show is by far the worst culprit...

@bobevanz - reminds me of Picollo from the Dragon Ball series.

Knowing nick wasn’t going to die didn’t bother me one bit. No one goes to mission impossible wondering if Ethan will die, but these finales are way too rushed and way too formulaic. I feel like nothing happened and it ended.

The beginning was interesting and intriguing. The fight with them using different powers was cool. It was interesting to see them using different peoples powers, but man was this finale a dud. This the first finale where I was flat out disappointed. Others felt rushed or uneven but they were decent. This one.. come on marvel.

@MyCoolYoung - I wouldn’t say nothing happened but not much honestly.

The Skrulls or any alien species are now considered hostile and being hunted on Earth which seems like it could have potential

Both Sonya and Gi’ah are forming a partnership to protect the Skrulls from that

The Kree are now willing to negotiate with the Skrulls and Fury got his mojo back
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 7/26/2023, 3:36 PM
@TheVisionary25 - I didn’t mean that literally. It just kind of felt like everything went down with a fizzle instead of a boom. Where’d you get the Kree part? Did I miss something?
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 7/26/2023, 4:18 PM
@MyCoolYoung - They said something about the Kree wanting to negotiate a peace with the Skrulls, which I'm guessing will turn into all out war at some point. Maybe in The Marvels.

@MyCoolYoung - It's funny, because She-Hulk makes fun of this exact kind of ending. The super soldier serum, the CGI super fight, etc.

Cap 4 better be something special or it might be a wrap for this saga because people just gonna start tapping out like it’s DC
SonOfAGif

@PlusUltra - Marvel Studios just needs to return to the movie format and leave Disney+ for specials. The fact that they have diluted the concept of a series or special means that actual good ones may be completely overlooked. I feel like Loki and Wandavision were the only two good MCU shows on D+ and The two special presentations were excellent. They should save MCU content for special presentations and only make a TV series for a character that they know they can 100% sell on streaming.

@SonOfAGif - They don't seem to understand the point of TV series.

They keep making an overbloated 3hour movie cut into 6 episodes.

I swear at some point I'm going to download all the D+ shows and recut them as a 2h movie (except secret invasion, that thing is not salvageable)
