Some more Secret Invasion stills from the latest issue of Empire Magazine (via CoveredGeekly.com) have been shared online, giving us new looks at three of the Disney+ show's principal characters.
The images feature the returning Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Emilia Clarke as his freedom fighter daughter G'iah, and Kingsley Ben-Adir as the villainous Gravik in his Skrull form.
Though G'iah is obviously on her father's side, their relationship has been strained since we last saw them together in Captain Marvel, and it sounds like her loyalties may be split in the series.
“It’s hardened her, for sure. There’s a kind of punk feeling that you get from this girl,” Clarke said in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. “She’s a refugee kid who’s had Talos for a dad, you know what I mean? Maybe the fact that we didn’t know he had a kid up until this point tells you everything you need to know about their relationship.”
Secret Invasion "follows Nick Fury as he uncovers a conspiracy to install double-agents into positions of power around the world: shapeshifting green-skinned extra-terrestrials known as Skrulls, who can perfectly simulate any human being at will."
The series also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, and Olivia Colman, and is set to premiere on June 21.
