Marvel Studios just launched a series of character-specific emojis for Secret Invasion on Twitter, a strong indication that the marketing campaign is about to pick up in a big way.
With that, we have an action-packed TV spot along with a poster highlighting the Disney+ series' leads. More espionage thriller than epic blockbuster, Secret Invasion may not have a huge amount in common with the comic book it shares a name with, but it looks like we can expect plenty of intrigue and surprises.
How much of a game-changer it will be for the wider MCU remains to be seen, though we'll be shocked if there aren't at least a few noteworthy names who have been replaced by shape-shifting Skrulls. Whether that's going to include any superheroes remains to be seen!
When we recently asked Talos actor Ben Mendelsohn about what to expect from the show, he responded, "I think Secret Invasion…listen, it’s one of the happiest, most rewarding jobs ever. [Producers] Brian [Tucker] and Louis [D'Esposito] are geniuses. Secret Invasion…I think people are going to be pretty happy with."
Check out a new TV spot, poster, and banner for Secret Invasion below.
